The cost was way less than retail. If you can find yellow dot Stihl chains they will last a little longer. That said, these green dot made by Stihl will cut a lot of wood before dulling.

These brand name chains cut well and I use them mainly for tree felling which is the most hazardous part of the job and you don't want to have a broken chain when messing with a 10 ton tree.. Ground crew uses the older used chains for the limb out and cleanup..

Nice Stihl micro chains. But it should be noted for safety that these are not the anti-kickback chains as pictured. At least the two I received were yellow label and lacked the extra “humps”. I actually prefer these.
