I'm really impressed with this small stick welder. It handled both 3/32-inch and 1/8-inch rods easily, and it was mostly a pleasure to use. Having an adjustable hot start and arc force at this price range is also impressive. The claimed duty cycle at 250A is 60%, and below 192A, it's 100%. I didn't encounter any over-temperature lights or tripped breakers while using a 120V outlet. The Dinse connector size is 10-25mm. The ground and stinger leads are approximately 6.5 feet long. The gloves are very usable and fit my large hands well. My gloves had some excess material inside the thumb area, but it didn't affect my use. The stinger is good or average, but the ground clamp is exceptional for a welder at this price. For dislikes, the 250 amp rating isn't even close to accurate; the real number is significantly lower. On the plus side, you don't need 250 amps to weld with 3/32-inch or 1/8-inch rods (I don't), but it does make it more challenging to set the correct amperage. Typically, I use 90 amps for a 3/32-inch rod, but I'm using 155 amps; for a 1/8-inch rod, I would normally use 125 amps, but I'm using 235 amps. I marked these starting points on the side of mine for easy future reference. This stick welder offers good value, but the inaccurate amperage settings may be confusing for some.

I don't think this is a worksite welder, it's more for like, fixing broken toys, resealing metal parts, or other small household fixes. The portable size carries easily, yet packs strong amps for solid welds. Extremely portable and versatile stick welding machine. The compact unit weighs just over five pounds and has a large, sturdy handle. The welder is 250Amp and operates on 110v with a grounded plug. Does take some getting use to but surely does the job and for the price you really can’t beat it. Great for those just starting out and wanting to do some practicing. Very impressed.
