Needs more weight to it. Your cello endpin won’t be staying in place on a hardwood or tiled floor. Could be wedged between a couple of heavy items so it won’t slip, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the beautiful look it has….

    • Wonderful Endpin Stop
A friend of mine bought this endpin stop a couple of years ago, and I admired it, but didn't get around to buying one for myself until recently, when my usual endpin stop just stopped working. It works so amazingly well, no slipping or sliding at all, and it is lovely to look at. Highly recommend.

    • Large, beautifully crafted stop
So beautifully crafted I gave one to my cello teacher for Christmas. This stop stays put both on carpet and hard surfaces. What I particularly like is the wide and deep pin hole that allows me to keep pin cap on while in use.

An acquaintance-cellist had one of these, and I had thought it was unique and expensive. When she said it was from amazon, well, I knew I had to get one while they were available. I also ordered a spare, thinking I would give one as a gift at some point. They each arrived very securely packed in a custom-shaped foam insert in a nice (but not “gift”) box. I am using mine at home for practice as I may gift the other to my ever-kind and patient standmate, and the gift would be for her to feel hers was unique. Beautifully carved and stained, each one is unique. My cello instructor has the same one but a little darker stain where mine is a little more cherry and compliments my cello beautifully! I didn’t realize how much my small rubber rock stop wasn’t actually stopping the cello from moving until I started using this one! I love it! ... show more
