This Steve Madden trench coat is perfect for the autumn season. It is very warm and the material is so nice and soft. I like the olive green color, which goes with just about anything. The only issue I have with it is the sizing. It runs large, especially in the lower half where there seems to be an abundance of material. Great for sitting, but when you stand up, it looks wide and there is extra fabric which hangs rather oddly. As such, the extra material would be great for going to sporting events where you had to sit on bleachers. The extra material would be like a blanket over your upper legs. I like that the sleeves are long. I want my wrists to be kept warm, and dislike it when a coat is too short in that area. These sleeves were perfect, coming down a bit over the tops of my hands. Everything seems very well stitched, and the satiny lining is a classic touch. I think this is an excellent value for a beautiful fall and winter coat. Just keep the sizing in mind when ordering. If you plan on wearing heavier sweaters underneath, perhaps order your usual size. If not, I would order one size smaller than usual. ... show more

I am an absolute sucker for coats and jackets. When I saw this, I ordered it right away and I'm not disappointed. It's really a lovely coat. The trench is a beautiful dark merlot wine color. The fabric is soft and feels great on the skin. It has a silky soft lining. The buttons are attached well and open/close easily. I am 5' tall and have a small build, but I also have a large chest. I'm often unsure if I need a medium or large to accommodate that. I took a chance with a medium. It fits fine. I can close and button it with no problems and I don't expect them to come off. The stitching is tight. There are no oddities or defects with the coat. Steve Madden makes cute, stylish clothes and shoes, but sometimes they can be a little uncomfortable. I always keep that in mind when I buy the brand, but I'm thrilled with this coat, as I am with Madden most of the time. I'm 5 7, 155lbs, 36B and ordered a large and I regret it! I wish I ordered the medium as suggested. It's such a nice coat, very well made, soft and comfortable. But a large is too big. I wanted there to be enough room for a sweater underneath and there is but it's not flattering. I love the coat so much though I am considering going to get it tailored. ... show more

This trench coat is beautiful and so soft! The color is exactly as described, and the material feels so cozy for fall and winter. I love the silk liner and the high-quality of the sewing and the little finishing touches, like the extra buttons. The investment for this is really low for the quality you get. My only issue is the sizing. I followed the sizing chart and ended up ordering a size too big I think. It's bit bulky in the shoulders and upper arms and long in the sleeves. It will work if I'm wearing a lot of layers but it's so warm, I wouldn't really need to. I'm usually a L-XL, but the chart made me size up to XL. So, while you saved a bit on the overall coat, if you're between sizes, you might need to get it tailored. It’s a gorgeous coat overall, but just be cautious with sizing. ... show more

This trench coat comes in several attractive color sizes and is really great quality, especially at the low price point. It feels like wool (though it isn't) and has the classic lines of a timeless trench coat. It is fairly lightweight, and will be perfect for fall weather. It looks great on- much more expensive looking than it is. The sizing chart for this is a bit off, and this runs small. If you want to wear fall clothing under this, I would recommend sizing up. This jacket is really nice quality. The Fabric is soft to the touch. Comes with replacement buttons. The fit runs slightly big. I wear a medium and wish I went with a small. It is a bit long in the sleeves. Good amount of room though for layering. Over all it is worth the price and a great value.
