Just from my point of reference (EMT/Fire). This product is plain and simple a problem solver. Either you hang your scope over your neck, you coil it up and put it in a cargo pocket(if you have one), or you carry a pouch of some sort to stow it in. I do not think any one of these ideas are bad, but hanging it either gets irritating on a long shift or someone is able to grab it, coiling it up is a great way to potential ruin something that you have invested in to make your job better(your stethoscope), and who really enjoys wearing a bulky pouch on their hip or leg? The Medical Basic stethoscope holder in my opinion solves just about all three of those issues. This thing makes “quick drawing” my stethoscope pretty darn easy. Over all buying this was a no brainer. its extremely well made, it looks great, and it is super useful. I would/have recommend this to anybody in the medical field that uses a stethoscope everyday and is tired of thinking you only have limited options.

We all hang our stethoscopes around our necks, but it gets it the way many times and it can be annoying. Having this clip makes you look organized and professional. It has a slit for your belt to go in And a waist clip on in case you don't wear a belt. The velcro closure is sturdy and stiff, so your scope will not fall out. Make sure to wrap it properly (as seen on the ad picture).

I bought this stethescope belt clip for my MOLLE backpack that I EDC. I'm a nursing student, Firefighter and EMT, and generally like being prepared. The clip fits perfectly on my backpack, but it's super bulky and big. I have the Littmann Classic III. The bell is smaller compared to most stethescopes, yet it works decently well with the backpack. I fear that it may slip out, but I plan to eventually upgrade my stethescope so it is not a big concern. The top part of the holder seems excessive and just a waste of material.

I really wanted to like this product as I have been looking for something to keep my stethoscope away from my neck and to stop causing fatigue. This product arrived with a strong chemical scent, which I let air out for a few days before cleaning with alcohol wipes and deciding to take my chances. What a mistake! It didn't even last a few minutes on the job when it just DROPPED my expensive stethoscope!! I tried several times but it looks like the velcro and leather on this thing is just not heavy enough to hold the weight of what it was made to hold up - a stethoscope! Thicker and heavier material would have helped a lot, as would better quality velcro. Also, the belt fastener attached to the back seemed like it would be a great idea, which is why I purchased the product in the first place because this was something other listings did not have. It turned out to be useless because the leather broke off that same day! I also found the clip to be difficult to use on my scrub pants. These issues are not things I want to think about when I'm on call. Until these issues are fixed, I cannot recommend this holder to anyone.

This is the BatClip copycat. There is now yet another called "HipClip" Pros: works same as bat clip. Has leather belt loops as well as an actual clip, and unlike the bat clip the clip part is covered in leather. (If you wear the original BC with a leather belt the metal part of the clip will scratch up your belt eventually, this one won't) Cons: my subjective opinion is both the leather quality and Velcro quality are slightly inferior to the BC- but I haven't noticed a difference in function. I am curious to see if the Velcro wears out after prolonged daily use. The stethoscope's "backrest" is a bit shorter and flatter than the BC. (BC kind of curves around and "cups" the top edge of the stethoscope) To me this means the head pops out a big more often and dangles awkwardly than I recall on the BC- although this is when mounted sideways, which is not the recommended mounting style for either product. Summary: as of now if I had to choose again I would probably buy this over the original because of the improvements/versatility in the attachment mechanism- although it may not tolerate daily use/abuse as well as the original. Unrelated side note: I coated both products in a rubber-like polymer myself, just because I wanted better "wipeability" than leather. (Puke happens) I wish the next copycat made a silicone coated version.

I have been a physician for almost 28 years. I wore my stethoscope around my neck, up until a few years ago. It started causing me neck pain, as it is rather heavy. I switched to carrying it in my coat pocket. But, it sometimes hung up when trying to pull it out. And it sometimes fell from the shallow pocket, risking damage or loss. This holder is just the thing! It is lightweight. It slides securely, and comfortably onto my waistband. Except when I need the scope, I forget that it is there. I thought it My be combersome to remove or replace the stethoscope. But, I’ve found it easy to do, without even looking. I’d recommend this product to anybody who uses their scope frequently, throughout the day. My only gripe is that I didn’t find it years ago!

Very sturdy clip so I don’t have to keep it on my belt when I work a 24. I can just pick it up and slide it on top of my belt. It is not bulky, and I was able to fold my Littman up so that it worked best for my needs
