Works just as good if not better than the original tubing, but at less than half the price! The original tubing on my Littmann Cardiology III cracked open after 8 years of wear and tear. Replaced it with this! Sounds like a brand new stethoscope! Only time will tell if it holds up as well as the Littmann tubing did.

I've had my Cardiology III stethoscope for 5 years now and absolutely loved it and was devastated when it cracked at the bend. I was worried I would have to shell out $200 for a new one, but then found this replacement tube. It actually came with everything but the bell/diaphragm, so that's all I have to change when it came. As mentioned it is a great money saver but I feel like I do notice the difference a little. The sound quality is not AS GOOD, I mean I can hear what I need to but I feel like I have to listen a lot more closely. So was spending $30 better than $200 for a new one? Yes, but if money was not a concern, I would go for a new one.

Whether your old Littmann is starting to crack, or you’re looking to build a new one this replacement tubing is an excellent value and it made my Master Cardiology work like new again. That being said, if you’re one of those people who worry about the quality of materials like I am, you might have some gripes. The material feels nice in your hands, but it attracts a lot of debris on the tubing and ear tips. The ear tips are not secure, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost one on an ambulance only for it to show up later. It comes with two extra ear tips, but I don’t carry them with me, so you’re SOL if you lose one on scene or it falls out your rig. The ear tips are proprietary and you can’t replace them with Littmann equivalents because the metal is milled so sharp. You’re likely to destroy the ear tips it comes with if you’re not careful. The ear tips are comfortable enough, but they don’t sit in your ears as well as I would hope (compared to genuine Littmann tubing) It’s thick, but a Littmann name plate will fit around it. This whole time I’ve been referring back to Littmann, but if you want that “Quality” this isn’t for you, but it is a nice interim when you’re short on cash, or it’s not a concern to you.

I find that stethoscope tubing tends to get stiff and hearing quality goes down after a few years, especially the raspberry colored tubing. I used to send my Littmann in for repair and servicing every two or three years, however, they haver recently raised the price for cleaning and servicing to be so high that I could almost buy an entire new stethoscope. I didn't want to buy an entirely new stethoscope so, I purchased a stethoscope cleaning and lubrication kit, ran the head of my scope through the ultrasonic cleaner, then used the cleaning kit and replaced the tubing on my Littmann Cardio 4 with this and it worked fine.

Good quality, but tubing inside diameter did not match my original Littman stethoscope. I had to make adjustments, but it is working well.
