I had purchased two from a local store, but when I went back to buy more, they were totally out. — These are exactly the same. 9/10 for STURDINESS, and great for using on wire rack shelving units, where adjustments of shelf height can be customized. These open bins act like drawers in my shelving unit; I can leave the lids open, or store them closed. I put LABELS on them, and can store just about anything (I definitely wouldn’t try to put an auto engine in one though). I use them for clothes, canning supplies, small tools, as they are great for organizing. I haven’t tried, but my best guess is that they would be great too, for transporting goods for sales, and would work well with a dolly for moving stacks of them. I've ordered 60 of these, yes, 60. Not one broken tote. Granted these are only traveling from about 3 1/2 hours from my house, they've all arrived perfect. I can understand how some people have gotten some broken ones. The packaging IS suspect. Just a cardboard box with no additional packaging or padding. If you're somewhere close to Ohio, you should be good. Any further you may risk extra damage from shipping transfers. Other than that, pretty good quality storage containers. I have a few hundred of these of all different level of qualities. For the cost, these aren't bad. Most of what I have are second hand/resale commercial totes. Compared to the $20-$50 a piece they want for the commercial grade, these are a steal. I got most of mine from Marketplace or local tell-it-n-sell-its for around $5-$8 a piece. Recently they're hard to find for under $10. I would recommend. Just a bit expensive, but good quality. ... show more

I’m up to about three dozen of these now. I looked and looked for an economical, yet useful shop & garage storage solution and settled on two kinds of boxes. These are my “large” option (those little 6-quart plastic “shoe box” containers from the same company are the “small”). Things I like: they are space-efficient, meaning the inside dimensions are not a lot smaller than the dimensions they take up on my shelves. A lot of other totes have wide rims and strongly tapered walls, so you get much less volume on a wall full of shelves holding them. They’ve also the right size for most of my storage. Bigger totes would get too heavy and smaller wouldn’t hold some items. For example, I have all my A/C service gear in one tote, including the vacuum pump that wouldn’t fit in a much smaller tote. The totes themselves aren’t too heavy, yet they stack securely and they’re strong enough for as much weight as I’m comfortable lifting in them. You can’t stand on them, and I’m not sure I’d want to put 30 pounds in the top box of a stack of six, but I don’t need that. One thing to be aware of is like all totes of this style, these are NOT sealed at all. If they get rained on, water will get inside. Not a problem for me, I’m just organizing items indoors. ... show more

After a few grocery deliveries requiring the hand-carrying of dozens of 1-2 item plastic bags (why stores, why?), I figured there had to be a better way. These are that better way. I keep 3 of these in the trunk of my car (that's all that will fit), along with a collapsable luggage dolly upon which I can stack and haul them. Works a treat and looks more professional to boot. The totes are sturdy and stackable, within reason of course (not meant for heavy stone, metal, or other industrial use). They can easily handle cases of water bottles, canned goods, pet food, paperwork, and other common items without leaking or deforming. So far, they've stood up well to regular usage (in and out the trunk, up and down stairs, bit of flexing while hauling, the odd tumble, etc.). ... show more

I gave 3 stars on the durability comparing to what they are selling for. The price definitely does not reflect the durability. There’s not many storage options out there that are shipping bulk containers either. I had two arrive where the doors were off and the hinges were snapped. Too much trouble to exchange. Highly durable, lids fit tightly together, quality for the value!! Plastic is thick enough to handle frequent moves… I would not throw them around but for the storage of keepsakes and valuables during a recent move…these bins were perfect!!
