This is my second kayak. We paddle, rivers, creeks, lakes and occasionally the ocean. I love the responsiveness and stability. I have always hated paddling into the wind, but this yak takes it in stride.

Various brands of kayaks are now made by the same manufacturer. While I expected a slimmer kayak, like the Wilderness Systems Pungo I had years ago, this one arrived in excellent condition. It's very stable and tracks well. The cockpit is large enough to have a dog or small child sit in front of you. There was miscommunication between the original shipper and subcontracted shipper, so the arrival date was both a mystery and surprise.

I have used this kayak extensively in many types of environments and my high expectations have all been met. I kayak with many individuals with different levels of experience and the only downside to this kayak so far is that I only have one of them, so quite often we let the least experienced kayaker use it. When I am in it I am 100% confident I will not sink regardless of the volume and speed of the water I am running or the degree of technical skill required to get through the rapids. in fact I usually stay pretty dry. It is not unsinkable but it is very difficult to do so and doing so is certainly noted. Usually however even the least experienced paddlers can take on class III rapids without any issue. It is my flagship kayak knows as the Cadillac by all who use it. With a skirt I would even take on class IVs. There are other kayaks I wish to purchase, but it is hard to imagine the paddler that gets to use the Pungo for whatever adventure we go on as not being considered "the lucky one".

Although I truly love my Pungo, I wish the kayak had handles on the sides so that I could carry more easily and have something to grip to or tie to. That’s why I gave it a’4’. The Pungo glides through the water swiftly and tracks extremely well. It has more leg room than any other kayak. The seat is very comfortable and I love the leg and back seat adjustments. Although I purchased the Wilderness Systems Pungo 105, I received the package slip for the Tarpon 105/120. (See Photo attached). I would appreciate it if Amazon or WS would send me the one for the Pungo 105 so that I would have the information for the Specifications and Water Types for my Kayak. Thanks

The media could not be loaded. The kayak itself is great. However, the one I ordered came packaged well and seemed in good condition, until closer inspection after the delivery truck left. The dashboard came broken on one corner where it snaps in. The dashboard came tucked under the bow, so it was broken from the factory, not from shipping. Amazon refunded the cost of a new dashboard, fair enough. The following week I took the kayak out. It was great all day, until I picked it up and noticed the dry hatch filling with water. The bulkhead has an enormous leak. Wilderness Systems' solution is to send me a new piece of foam and some sealant so I can fix it myself. No Thanks. Returning to Amazon. It should also be noted the kayak was filled with small bits of plastic from the holes being drilled. They don't even bother to clean or test these boats before they send them out to people.

This has all of the bells and whistles I could hope for! I’m able to take the deck off if I want to have my small dog ride with me, or put on for longer trips down the river. I purchased the cooler separately, and am quite pleased with it. Was able to stick a full bottle of wine in the cooler, along with other food. The back hatch is huge, and I have more than enough room for my stuff, and my friends stuff! I also purchased the carbon fiber paddle as I’ve learned that lighter paddles help my whole body! I’m glad I held out for the Pungo. My friends are definitely envious!

This is a great kayak. I'm barely 100lbs and feel very comfortable and sturdy in it. There are a lot of options to adjust the seating position for all sizes. And the adjustments are easy to use even when you are already sitting in it. Of course it's a big one for me to carry by myself but still easy to navigate holding one of the ends. This is my first kayak and I'm pretty picky with my equipment for other things that I do. Using it for just casually going around the lake and sometimes for fishing.
