I only use powder laundry soap (did you know most liquid brands are mostly water?), and I wanted a cute container to store it in instead of the bulky plastic bag it came in. Cute and fits a LOT of powder detergent. I use the Arm & Hammer plus oxiclean detergent that comes in a 6 lb box and it only filled the container about halfway. I do think it was a little overpriced for a relatively simple design, but at least it seems sturdy enough to last and doesn't have a bunch of different breakable components like the plastic lidded containers do. ... show more

    • LARGEST AND CUTEST TIN TO STORE YOUR LAUNDRY DETERGENT IN!

I looked at every single old fashioned metal tin to store laundry detergent that Amazon had to offer. And I scrutinized the reviews and sizes and other details such as: how much the cup holds, does the lid come off with one hand or do you need two, is it sturdy or flimsy and wobbly, etcetera. This one was not only the largest and best made but the design was the cutest, in my opinion. It was also one of the most expensive, but, in this case you get what you pay for! Now, I did have a problem with the first one that was sent out. The box was damaged, had a hole leaving the product exposed and I believe it was damaged through transit. The rubbing against the pavement didn't affect it cosmetically but was a little rough against your skin. Not a manufacturer's error; a problem that occurred during transit and actually fared pretty well. I returned that one and an exchange was sent in it's place and this one arrived in perfect condition. This item is well made, adorable and holds way more than any other similar product on Amazon at the time of this review. The compliments I received for a metal laundry detergent tin were extremely favorable and now my friends want one for themselves!
