  • Fantastic DIY Speaker Kit for Young Innovators!
We recently tried the DIY Speaker Electronic Kit, and it's been a hit with our kids! This STEM toy is perfect for ages 8 to 12, providing a fun, educational experience while sparking creativity and curiosity. The kit comes with clear instructions, making it easy for our 9-year-old to follow along with minimal help. The cartoon design is engaging, and our kids loved assembling the parts to create their own functioning speaker. It’s a great hands-on project that combines science, technology, engineering, and art. The quality of the materials is impressive, and the final product works beautifully. It's not just a toy but an educational tool that introduces children to basic electronics. Our kids were thrilled to see their speaker in action and proud of their accomplishment. This kit encourages problem-solving and critical thinking skills, which are essential in today's world. Whether you’re looking for a birthday gift or just a fun weekend project, this DIY speaker kit is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend it for any budding young engineers out there! ... show more

  • An 8 year old and a perent could easily put this together
I am not certain that after making this speaker kit, that a person could go out and make a VOX AC-30 from scratch. The kit is made so that all a person has to is plug wires into the right location with no need to solder things together. It comes with a blue tooth electronic board, where again, wires get plugged into it. There is no real explanation of what the electrical components on the board do, or how to design one. It certainly shows a kid what a real speaker looks like. It has a pair of small, 3" diameter speakers that appear to have the potential for reasonable good sound once assembled with the other components and paired with a bluetooth device. It is powered by 4 AA batteries that are not included with the kit. The set certainly is something that an 8 year old could do along with a parent or grandparent. (A parent would probably be better for establishing the bluetooth connections however!) ... show more

  • Fun little project, not very loud speaker but this is expected
I got this STEM DIY toy kit for my kids to introduce them to basic electronics, specifically focusing on wire connections and how power is transmitted from batteries to power up a Bluetooth module and speakers. It’s powered by 4 AA batteries, so don't expect the sound to be very loud, but it serves its educational purpose well. The kit effectively demonstrates the principles it aims to teach. However, continuously buying AA batteries can get expensive if the speaker is used frequently, so it's best viewed as a one-time educational project rather than a permanent audio solution. This kit is great for a hands-on learning experience but less so for ongoing use. My son has it on his desk as his achievement, something that he remembers he made and be proud of what he has made. This is priceless. ... show more

  • Fun project that is actually a decent Bluetooth speaker
This is a great project for an adult and child to work on together. Everything is sturdy. Looks nice and fits together solidly. The speaker is surprisingly loud and has a decent sound. Quality control might be a bit off but customer service is great. They sent a replacement right away when we had broken wires. The replacement had wire connectors that weren't tight enough to hold in place so I just added tape. I do recommend this product. ... show more

  • Fun but not super loud
This was fun to assemble and it was pretty easy, but the screws are very tiny so you'll want a small screwdriver as it doesn't come with tools for assembly. The audio quality is alright. It does sound like a cardboard box playing music. Overall it was a good time waster, but I don't see myself picking this speaker to use over other bluetooth speakers I have. ... show more

  • Great speaker to build but
I had fun building this bluetooth speaker but was sadly disappointed when I heard the audio quality coming from the speakers. They seem to play in mono even though there’s two speakers and they rattle on songs with any kind of bass. But it’s any educational device and it’s great for anyone to build and possibly customize. ... show more
