  • Absolutely quality controller for IOS Apple TV
This is one of the few controllers that pairs up with APPLE TV. I bought games for the kids to play that only used the game controller for interface and then the old controller got worn out (or thrown...) and needed to be replaced. This was recommended by my gamer brother-in-law and despite the cost, I went for it given he recommended nothing else would be equivalent. Fits adult or kids hands OK, has plenty of buttons and thumb joysticks. I wish it had a feedback (vibrate) though. I am sure vibrate might not be supported in many games available through iTunes. ... show more

  • This product does not work with iOS even though the sticker added to the box says it does
I communicated directly with the Manufacturer. This product does not work with iOS. Email from Manufacture in Denmark... Tried two different times. Returned back to Amazon. Dear Customer, You need a Nimbus controller for iOS. Unfortunately, I can't help with that because I can only swap the controller for the same model and only if it is defective. You are correct that the Stratus XL will not work on iOS. I do apologize for your frustration, definitely go back to the vendor and tell them to send you Nimbus controller! • Works Great in iOS, but has Steam Problems in OSX
Compared to my awful iOS experience with IPEGA controllers, setting up this SteelSeries controller on our iPads was a dream. Just put in the batteries, turn it on, and it pairs without a problem. Download the SteelSeries app (which you're prompted to do by the OS) and away you go. My kids are happily playing Minecraft and the Lego games with it after literally 2 minutes of setup. I never even had to open the manual. My only complaint is that I've never been able to make the controller work with any games on my iMac, even though it pairs just fine. But this may be Steam's fault. It sees the controller in its options, and I "added" it there, but the actual Steam games never seem to be able to detect it. I don't have any non-Steam games that use gamepads, so I can't say if a non-steam OSX game would work with it. ... show more

  • Fun way to experience games on iPad
First off I am not a gamer so I have very little to compare this controller to. Honestly I bought it on a whim because it was a refurbished unit and I had got some new games on my iPad that would be interesting to play with a controller. I do like the experience of playing with the controller now over the controller interface adds something more tactile and tangible to the gameplay more then just tapping on a piece of glass. The controllers feels really high quality and all of the buttons work well and the joysticks have just the right amount of tension. Pairing was easy and simple although I have had a few instances where the pairing was lost mid game which kind of sucked. I wish there were more games that I can play with this controller but for now it works. I thought it would be more compact but it is probably a little too big to carry around every day I would get the micro version for that. I also wish it would work on both android and Apple it seems silly that they have to versions of the same controller when a simple software switch would work. Can't really comment on the battery life have not used it enough to really test it seems like it'll last For quite a while. ... show more

  • The controller does not like to stay paired when not in use and needs ...
I thought I was purchasing a new controller as that is what I selected. However, I was still sent a refurbished one anyways. I hope I did not pay for a new controller and got a refurbished one (I cannot find "refurbished" in any of the product descriptions). The controller itself does not work with every game, and with the ones I have tested out, there appears to be a significant latency issue. The controller does not like to stay paired when not in use and needs to be repaired every time. The controller feels absolutely durable, but that is about the only nice thing I can think of right now. EDIT: after a while with the controller, but low usage, it connects to phone but does not work with any game anymore. New batteries, new phone, complete reset of pairing and phone still it does not work. ... show more

  • Lives up to the hype, with few minor flaws…
The controller itself is very solid, the joysticks and buttons are very high-quality and very responsive. All buttons and triggers are fully analog as well. The only drawbacks are in the overly from nature of the joysticks, playing a first person shooter with them is on the verge of exhausting. The only other flaw is in the fact that there are no joystick click buttons, meaning pressing down on the joystick has no effect, there is no ability to assign a Crouch or Run command to them. Also, the 'sync' and 'battery level' buttons are too close to the shoulder buttons, and accidentally pressing either has the effect of disabling the controller, if only temporarily. ... show more

  • Best iOS controller out there!
Hands down, the best feeling iOS controller out there. Looks and feels very solid with quality plastic and solid construction. No creaky sounds when trying to twist or flex it. Feels very much like an Xbox 360 controller (but with a Playstation DualShock layout).
