I've spent a lot of time trying to find a good comfortable headset that doesn't break the bank. So many new headsets these days are $100+ and are still often disappointing. This headset, however, blows me away. Amazing sound(I didn't have to tweak it at all), incredible comfort, and most importantly costs a fraction of the price of other headsets. It's crazy that a headset this good costs only $47~. You can even switch out the cushions, meaning you don't have to bin them whenever the padding goes out. The only problem I have with it is that the volume dial and the plastic around where the arm of the headset connects are prone to breaking. My first pair had both problems, but I still had them for about 3 years. Immediately bought another one. This headset is a quality budget option that is around the same standard of quality that I'd expect from a headset 2 to 3 times the cost. ... show more

these headphones work pretty well for me for a 60 something dollar gaming headset. the sound quality is great, especially for ambiance in games. they fit nice and comfortable but the insides where the speakers are do not have padding. this isn’t a big issue for me but it might for others. the top of the headset where it goes on the top of the head isn’t padded either but it’s not extremely annoying. they fit nice and snug, but they don’t block noise as well as they might of said in the description. it works well when there are other sounds playing in the headphones, but if you aren’t listening to anything while using them you would still be able to make out conversations and it can still be an annoyance. be careful with these because they aren’t made of the strongest plastic tldr: great sound quality, slightly uncomfortable, fragile ... show more

    • A great deal for great headphones
I bought these as a replacement for my HyperX Cloud Flight that was slowly dying. The Arctis Prime headset offers good sound quality and great comfort, but the microphone isn't very loud. Not a big issue, considering how easy it is to boost it. It is somewhat small, so if you have a bigger than average head, it might be tight on you. The ear cups have great noise isolation, although they're slightly forceful. The mute button is much better than my last headphones, since they only made a beep to indicate a toggle, and I could never tell if that meant it was muted or not. This mute button noticeably sticks out when it's muted. The retractable mic is convenient, even though it's quite quiet. The volume control is easy to use and finely adjustable. You get 2 sound inputs, a standard audio jack and a Steelseries proprietary jack. For only $40 (it was a Prime deal), it's great value. ... show more

For 50 dollars the headphones do everything you need them to do, I previously had the corsair hs80, but they broke so I decided to cheap out a little with these and get the job done perfectly fine, Comfortable, only thing is sound quality was better with my old headphones, granted they were top of the line. ... show more

It's been 6 months since purchase. The headset has stopped working on the right side only. This being purchased from the official Steel Series amazon i went directly to their website to hopefully warranty it. I've been told they won't warrant it. So not only does it stop working 6 months in, you won't get a replacement when the product states it has a 1 year manufacturer warranty.
