I love this headset. The app is great too. It's got audio presets for all types of games. I can listen to and talk on my phone through the headset and still hear my game. Noise cancellation is fantastic, and sidetones are adjustable and also great. The directional audio is incredible. The connection reaches so much further than a previous Gen steelseries I have. Battery life is pretty good. They're super comfy and light. I can't speak on durability because I am so gentle with them, but if they're anything like the previous Gen I have, they'll be fine even after a few drops. Looks, feels, and sounds beautiful. Solid build, easy volume wheels, the semitone works well for room awareness. The microphone sounds clean and loud with the noise filter, my friends say it sounds better than my old Sony Pulse 3D headset. The dual simultaneous dongle + Bluetooth is a game changer, can take calls while playing, or hear music and audiobooks, etc. The light mute indicator on the microphone is great. My only problem is that the mute button has a loud sharp beep every time it’s pushed in or out, I dunno if it can be adjusted. The earpads are comfortable and breathe well to stay cool and it doesn’t have that faux leather coating that eventually peels off and looks ugly. I feel like I got a good deal vs my previous headset (Sony Pulse Elite), it has mostly the same features but the build quality is much better with the Nova as my Elite broke on the headband in less than a month, even with careful handling. ... show more

The SteelSeries Arctics Nova 7P Gen 2 is a solid choice for a midrange headset. It’s easy to set up, and the battery life is truly fantastic lasting for many sessions, and has fast charge times. You really need to make use of either the associated PC software or mobile app to tweak the sound profiles though, and the out-of-the-box sound profiles are lacking. But once you tweak the settings, the sound quality is solid, including decent range into bass tones. I wouldn’t expect audiophiles to think this headset is doing anything amazing, but for most of us, it’s a solid option for all supported media. The physical construction of the headset is solid, has premium feel and isn’t too heavy. The microphone is decent enough and extends and retracts easily, but this model doesn’t have any noise cancelling in the mic—you it’ll often pick up on background noise and has some static. Connectivity to multiple devices is easy to use with both wireless and Bluetooth connections being able to be used simultaneously. There can be some crackling/interference and with the sound over WiFi, but that can be resolved by adjusting the position of where you have the dongle set up. I’ve used an extended cable to get rid of that issue when connecting to PS5. The P-Series specifically has a side-tone dial instead of a chat-mix dial, which is the only thing that really separates it out from the other versions. This is because Sony doesn’t support third-party headsets using chat-mix dials. I’ve had this headset for about 6 months, and only have run into a few issues—one with a sudden burst of feedback noise for unknown reasons that was painfully loud, and one instance of the headset losing function and requiring a reset. There’s also a somewhat obnoxious physical creaking noise that happens frequently with the physical parts of the headset when they move. Overall, it’s a pretty good headset that is relatively affordable and will cover your bases on multiple device connectivity and long battery life. I've had it for month and everything was working great. I love how comfortable they are and the sound quality is decent enough to indicate footsteps and direction. However the product froze on me, none of the buttons work, it won't connect to the app and when I put the mic into into its docking position it makes a screeching sound in the left speaker. Do not recommend, its not worth the hassle for the price. This isn't isolated either my friend bought an identical pair and he has to constantly push the reset button to make them work which requires you to remove the ear cushion, which isn't super hard but its annoying to do and thats not how the product was advertised to function. Ive tried the reset button on mine and it doesn't do anything. I'm going to be returning, I will give the next best steel series a try just because this product was promising but if that one is faulty I will never buy another steel series headset again. Even if you spray perfume on dog poo its still just that. And for $200 these complaints are inexcusable. ... show more

I bought this headset for my boyfriend after his PS5 headphones started falling apart. The audio quality is amazing, and the mic works really well. SteelSeries headphones are the only ones that I find comfortable for long periods of time while wearing my glasses, so I’ll always prefer them over other brands. We own two pairs right now and we love them. We’ve never had any issues with connectivity to the PS5 itself, though there’s sometimes issues getting them to connect to the right function, like game vs. chat.
