  • Good for Gaming
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P Wireless is easily one of the best gaming headsets I’ve used. The sound is super crisp, and I can hear every detail in-game — footsteps, gunfire, everything. The mic is clear, the wireless connection never drops, and the comfort is top-notch for long gaming sessions. Battery life is great too. Totally worth it for any serious gamer. ... show more

  • Wireless gaming on a budget without any audio lag Wireless gaming on a budget without any audio lag
The SteelSeries Arctis 7P comes with a USB-C dongle for wirelessly connecting to your PC, PlayStation 4, PS5 and even your cell phone. This is a wireless headset that connects using a 2.4GHz wireless RF USB dongle, rather than Bluetooth. While that means the headphones are a little less versatile, you don’t need to spend as much time pairing anything, and it has no noticeable latency at all, which was what decided me to get this model, versus any other Bluetooth headset. This headset is also really comfortable. After briefly adjusting the Velcro suspension strap, I easily settled in for a number of comfortable gaming sessions. The strap was comfortable and elastic, applying just the right amount of pressure to keep the headset snug on my head. However, it being wireless, walking around my apartment occasionally made it feel a little loose. These headphones are definitely designed for use while seated, despite not actually needing to be all that close to whatever you’re gaming on. Even relatively gentle movement can jostle things a bit. Also, loved the fact I could plug the USB-C dongle to my phone, and use the headset to make hand free calls. In short… GOOD 👍 + Good sound. + Solid connectivity options. + No audio lag. + Long range. + Good surround sound. + Comfortable. + Can be used on different devices equipped with USB-C port. NOT SO GOOD 👎 - Reliance on an app for using some features. - Slightly overemphasized bass. - Mic struggles with bass. In conclusion, this is a reasonably priced, fully featured, and convenient wireless headphone. It doesn't nail everything, but hits an overall bar of quality you'd have to spend considerably more to match. ... show more

  • Sound, comfort and well made.
First and foremost I have to say it's extremely hard to actually purchase these pair of headsets but once you do the sound is amazing. I really love and enjoy these headsets on my Playstation 5. They're also very comfortable for long term gaming which I do quite a lot with my kids and when I play by myself. I've owned other headsets from the most prior popular companies like Turtle Beach and Astros. Unfortunately they have always broke on me and I always take good care of my electronic accessories. SteelSeries however, do not feel cheap and they're well made. I'm so happy with this purchase and I'm even considering getting the all black pair members only color from the SteelSeries website and also the Xbox Series X version. For some reason the sound to these headsets to me is unmatched to prior headsets I've owned. My wife talks to me while I have these on and I simply can't hear her at all. This is a good thing because this tells me the sound doesn't escape. When I'm gaming with headsets my attention is going to be to the sounds of the game and especially when I'm playing a PvP match. Mind you I have not even began to mess around with improving the sound on my PC. I immediately just connected them to my Playstation 5 and began my new gaming journey. But I'm definitely considering tinkering with the audio whenever I get a chance to. I got extremely lucky to have been able to purchase these headsets one day while just looking on my amazon app, added to cart and done deal! Hope you get yours! ... show more

  • A good option for the PS5, but possible issues with warranty support.
The Arctis 7p is a good option for PS5 (and PS4) owners. The sound is good, the microphone is clear (and retractable), and overall build quality seems good. Below are the major Pros and Cons as I see them: Pros: * This is designed for the PS5 and is guaranteed to work with Sony's 3D audio. Be aware, however, that any stereo headphone should work for this, since Sony's 3D audio is software based and therefore does not require anything special from the headphones themselves. * The sound, build quality, battery life, and microphone clarity are all good. * There is a sidetone dial on the right ear cup to adjust how much of your own voice you hear. * On the left earcup are volume, mute, retractable microphone, and charging ports. * A bit more on the mic quality: when extended, the microphone is clear and you sound "close". If you wish, you can also use the mic in the retracted position and according to my friends you sound a bit "further" away, but still clear. More like I sounded using something like the older Sony Gold headset. So you have options. Cons: * If you plug the USB-C dongle into the front of your PS5, it will partially cover the other USB port, rendering it unavailable. * You have to manually select your audio output (headphone, TV, etc.). The PS5 will not just automatically sense that the Arctis 7p's have been turned on or off and switch accordingly. This is a minor inconvenience. (I think the only headsets that will automatically switch are Sony's own like the Pulses.) * To adjust chat mix, you also have to do this manually by pressing the PS button and going into the sound menu. One side note to be aware of: as of this review (March 2021) some customers are having issues with SteelSeries customer support like things for warranty returns (and purchases). Their site has no direct dial number to talk with a human, and there are numerous complaint threads online about dealing with SteelSeries directly. Might be something to research or be aware of. ... show more

  • Was gonna do 4 stars
Because it is refurbished but I failed to see that it was listed as “like new” so that one’s on me being a dummy. Excellent product, here’s why: - Elastic strap is high quality and comfortable while the steel band provides rigid construction gives this product a high quality feel that won’t have me buying another due to a break caused by common use. - easy controls - Great quality of sound, especially for the price Constructive Criticism: - Micro usb charging port, not sure when this product was originally made and refurbished but it would have been great to have usb-c. Due to me not knowing and being uninterested in looking that up that won’t reflect my score. I just hate micro usb and any charger designed this way. ... show more

  • Arctis 7p or Sony 3D? Arctis all the way
I bought the Sony Pulse 3D headset first because I thought it would go very well with the PS5 I ordered. I used the Sony headset for about 10 minutes and decided it needed to be returned. I purchased the Arctis 7p because of the reviews and the Sony fail. I wasn’t disappointed. The sounds quality is much better. The headset is far more comfortable than the Sony headset and the 7p just looks and feels nicer to me. If you are using this headset on the PS4 as I currently am, they are a good solid headset. Worth the money. I imagine that they will sound even better on the PS5 given the step up in audio quality the PS5 offers. Skip the Pulse 3D and get these. Far better purchase even though they were more expensive. ... show more

  • Converted a wireless headset skeptic
I stayed away from wireless headsets for years due to bad experiences with early models. After reading some reviews, I decided to give them another shot. I use this headset for both my PS5 and my PC. It's as simple as plugging in the dongle. No setup required. The sound quality is great, maybe a touch high on the treble side but I'm no audiophile so take that with a grain of salt. The microphone sounds great and the people I game with immediately noticed the increased clarity. Supposedly this headset has 24 hours of battery life. All I know is that I've used it pretty regularly since I bought it and I've only charged it once since the first time. It's a little bit pricy, but the quality makes it worth it. Wireless all the way. ... show more

  • Wonderful PS5 Headphones (SteelSeries 7P)
These are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever worn. I upgraded from Sony Platinum headphones when I got my PS5 and I never realized how uncomfortable my headphones were until I wore these. My old Sony headphones hurt both the top of my head and rubbed against my ear wearing it raw after awhile. With the ski band, these headphones no longer hurt my head and the ear pads are deep enough to not rub against my ear. The sound quality is top notch and the 3D audio is great (when the game supports it). My only gripe is having to switch the audio source whenever I want to listen through my tv, but I’ve gotten used to that and it’s a small price to pay for a truly comfortable and next-gen audio product. ... show more
