Not quite as comfortable as MPOW EG3s, but prettier, and the mic is easier to turn on and off. The main issue is that the cups are squeaky, so if you move or adjust it interferes with the sound.

Short Review: This Arctis 1 Wired Headset (Xbox Version) is awesome! I love and highly recommend it! Now for the details: It seems to be hard to find a headset that works well when it is plugged directly into a controller. Some wireless controllers just don't have the power to drive the headset sound to adequate volumes. I have an expensive set of Sony Headphones (over the ear) that go for a couple hundred bucks and I've been using them to plug into my Google Stadia controller (which I'm using wirelessly). The Sony's worked, but they wouldn't get loud enough. So, I went looking for something else. And I found this Arctis 1 Wired Headset (Xbox Version). I'm so glad I did. This headset sounds great. When plugged into the same wireless Stadia controller that the Sony's were, these Arctis 1's are significantly louder. I think they have perfect volume, but if you're craving more you can plug them into something with a more powerful amplifier like a computer or phone. There is a good sound stage. You can clearly hear the spatial effects across the left and right speakers while playing a game. I was pleasantly surprised to find that music also sounds great through these. The mic sounds good according to someone I was talking to online. And it is detachable which is very nice considering I won't need a mic except for the rare times I'm playing online multiplayer. These have a very solid build quality, are lightweight, and I found them to be very comfortable to wear for hours. One complaint that I've read repeatedly for the non-PC/Multiplatform version of this headset (like this Xbox Version) is that you can't use them properly with a computer because they lack the adapter which can split the single style 3.5mm 4-pole plug (that this Xbox version has) into two individual plugs (one for the speaker sound and the other for the microphone sound) that some computers use. In reality though not all computers today require two separate plugs. Many modern PC's have a single jack for speakers/microphone, in which case this Xbox version will work just fine. My laptop has the single style jack and this headset works perfectly. So I suggest you check your PC before ordering this headset if that is an issue. If it has a single style jack you can get by with whatever wired version is available (and hopefully on sale!). If it has two separate jacks you'll require the PC/Multiplatform version. One additional note. I've heard that there is an old style Xbox controller that will not work with any headsets that use a 3.5mm 4-pole plug like these models use. I've read that if that's the case you will either have to buy an adapter separately or upgrade to a newer style controller with the proper single jack. Ok, I will like to start with the seller: Arminius17bc Awesome job! Great customer service, super fast responses and follow up to make sure that I got my product on time and in good condition even thou that Amazon sent me the incorrect tracking number, the seller step up, send me the correct tracking number, very polite, very fast on contacting me and when I got the headset they immediately send me a message about it. Seller Score is 10/5. Couldn't be more satisfied with the seller. I'm really looking forward to do more business with them. Ok, now let's talk about the headset. IT'S AWESOME!! Ok, I have tried a lot of headsets in the past from Sony, Logitech, etc., etc., this headset within this budget of less than $100 is the best out there. Super comfortable, great build, very nice sound quality, I will use it for a lot of things like listening to music in the PC, gaming in the PS4, Audioconferencing in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc. If you are looking for an over-ear headset for any of those things, you wont regret this one. Headset score 5/5 in sound quality, 5/5 in comfort. Oh, it has RGB, I didn't pay attention to that, when connected using the 3.5 mm it doesn't light up until you connect with the USB to the computer and then the RGB showed. It's a headset so I won't be seeing the RBG by myself so it really is a nice extra but not a must have in my opinion. ... show more
