  • He Loved It!
Color: Onyx Style: Wireless Pattern Name: Aerox 5
Got it for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loved it so much. It’s very light weight and comfortable to use. The lights are bright. My boyfriend says the quality of the click is great and subtle but sounds great. You can customize the colors and the pattern of the colors.

  • Absolute waste of money. Stick with Logitech/Razer
Color: Onyx Style: Wireless Pattern Name: Aerox 9
Pros: Lightweight, Fairly ergonomic, probably has cool lighting Cons: Dongle doesn't work. Wireless plug in adapter they give you doesn't connect to Steel Series software (Not to mention opening the software itself completely screwed my audio setup). Mouse doesn't like to be connected to your PC. Feels like cheap plastic and the box it came in looks like a recycled toy with a singular piece of bubble wrap to "protect" your product. It's a fantastic 75$ paperweight. I've owned dozens of gaming mice from MMO mice to FPS and this is absolutely the worst product I've tried. Embarrassing out of the package. Save yourself some money and buy a different mouse. If you need a 12 button, go with the Razer Naga(wireless) or the Corsair 12 button(wired). ... show more

  • Probably one of the best wireless ,rgb, lightweight mouse. THE MOUSE IS NOT FOR SMALL HANDS
Color: Onyx Style: Wireless Pattern Name: Aerox 5
it’s a good mouse for the price, i initially bought it to connect to my ps5, works and feels like a charm. simply amazing details in the rgb. The software for the mice is relatively easy to understand and work around, they give you so much to play around with. 4/5 for me personally, simply because of my small hands. This mouse is not intended to be used for small hands like myself. although i am still able to use it and game with no discomfort and i feel like thats primarily because of how light it is. Why its not intended for small hands? well… You arent able to comfortably reach the silver side Sniper button. If your thumb is constantly resting on the primary two side buttons WITH SMALL HANDS, you arent really able to press or reach that button at the same speed as you would with other buttons. ... show more

  • The best mouse I've ever owned!
Color: Onyx Style: Wireless Pattern Name: Aerox 9
UPDATE: Scroll wheel broke 3 months in. It basically scrolls up and down no matter what direction you scroll. Did some googling and found out MANY others have the same issue. For a mouse that is $100+ i'm disappointed. This mouse will change your game. The main game I play is Counter Strike 2, a tactical fps. Being able to press buttons without moving one's fingers is amazing. Many other MMO mouses on the market are beefier and heavy where as this mouse is light as a feather. Being able to use buttons while maintaining a light weight is perfect for me. It also has a software thats easy to use and program. Overall a very good 'MMO' mouse that does well in FPS. ... show more

  • Nice mouse many applications but it is expensive for sure
Color: Onyx Style: Wireless Pattern Name: Aerox 9
My main game is an MMO as such it's nice to have commonly used functions available on the mouse with the press of a button. While Steelseries provides an excellent software for creating macros those that play fast paced combat games might feel this mouse is a bit too light for that, it's all personal preference for sure. The price on this mouse new is crazy, and I wouldn't normally consider laying out the "new" price (currently $150) for a mouse but I've got several steel series products and I love all of them. They have lasted several years of hard use and they are constantly improving their mouse application. This unit comes with the mouse, the usb C 2.4ghz dongle, an extension for the dongle c port on each side, and a cable that allows you to use the mouse as a wired mouse. It also works with bluetooth. This unit is reconditioned at this price point but that doesn't necessarily mean the mouse was repaired at some point, anything that gets returned open box can only be resold as reconditioned. You can find the mouse cheaper but it may be lacking the dongle and cable that came with this one. They aren't too expensive directly from steelseries on their web page if you need to purchase one. The mouse itself has a usb c plug on it in front. This is used for charging the battery or if you want to use it corded. Any standard usb charger will charge this mouse. If your computer is a few years old and lacks usb c ports they can be added with a usb hub, a pci card, or there are adapters (usb C female to usb A male, this is a data only adapter and subject to the limitations of usb A) that can be bought on amazon not too expensive. I am using mine with the 2.4ghz dongle plugged into an A adapter it works fine, I can't tell you if I've limited mouse performance by doing this since the data transfer never attains usb 3 speeds but it's good enough for me. The weight of the mouse is kept low by the "honeycomb" construction of the plastic case and it is water resistant. My hands have always gotten sweaty after gripping the mouse for awhile, this open air approach works good for me, I don't notice my hands getting as slippery on the mouse as my other mouse products. The bottom of the mouse has a three way switch for 2.4gh/bluetooth, off (or cabled use). The steelseries mouse software will display battery readout and notify you if there is a firmware update for the mouse. As with everything these days you have to download the software yourself from steelseries web site the mouse does have some onboard memory if you want to use your mouse on a different computer that may not have your setups on it already. Battery life is supposed to be something like ten hours of continuous use and it charges pretty fast. It came out of the package with 90% charge on it and only took about 5 minutes to reach full charge. Charging it for only fifteen minutes gives many hours of use from reports and reviews. This mouse is kind of a niche product it's got many more uses than just game macros you could add functions for many packages from CAD to wordprocessing or publishing software very easily. Of course now I've taken the plunge steelseries has the mouse on sale on their web site at about thirty dollars off. For the difference I probably would have gotten a new one for the warranty but I'm not going to return this as I'm confident it will be just as durable as a new one might be. If you find yourself using many different functions in just about any sort of application and wished you had a way to program keystrokes for easier access then this might be a product you will like. I've only used one other product with all these buttons and that one didn't last very long because the company doesn't use the best switches in their products I'm not worried about that with steelseries. I do not have particularly large hands, in fact they are rather small and I find the mouse comfortable to use, learning to hit the button array on the side accurately takes a little practice but you'll get it. Having all those choices lets you put stuff you use all the time where your thumb naturally rests etc. It is definetly lighter than my other steelseries mouse but I don't find it "too light" which seems to be the universal complaint about this product when you read the reviews by gamers. It's nice having one less cable draped around my desk to get caught on something. update: June 2024. Mouse "was" working very well until tonight it suddenly started flashing red continuously. Windows 11 had just released another round of service packs and updates so I "assumed" that was likely the source of my problems. I could not get the mouse working after removing and reinstalling the steel series software and also got a "firmware update notification" as well but even after a supposedly successful update it just looped back into wanting to update the firmware over and over. I found several reports of the same issue with this mouse all from over a year ago. Steelseries suggests you try usb 2/3 usb ports or put the mouse on a different pc. I pulled out my asus gaming laptop and loaded the software on it. I had to "re-pair" the mouse to the dongle (press left right and the button below the scroll wheel simultaneously while switching the mouse into 2.4gh at the same time and wait for led's to flash white. I managed to get the mouse working again on the laptop but when I put it back on my desktop within a few hours the same issue reoccurred again. I haven't completely given up on the mouse yet but apparently it's not an easy fix, not even a youtube on how to fix it. I really enjoyed the mouse while it worked and less than six months for such an expensive mouse is very disappointing. The bright side is that the dongle appears to be universal and not tied to the specific mouse it comes in the box with so I can possibly get another reconditioned unit and it will work with the dongle I've already got. Very disappointed, didn't expect this from a steel series product all my other products from them have been great and just keep on going. About to contact the company to see if they can offer any other ideas for getting it working again. Haven't had any more luck getting this working, I suppose every great company is entitled to a clunker every once in awhile but this was a very expensive clunker for sure. Just reinforces my belief that a mouse like this should be wired not wireless. ... show more
