Living out in the country can be challenging. You never know what you will encounter from day to day, but steel toe boots can make life a whole lot easier! The steel toe is definitely strong on this boot. It’s durable and stylish at the same time. I would say in the beginning, the fit seemed a bit small, but they did form to my feet a bit as time went on. With that being said, don’t order them too large or too small, I would still suggest ordering a size that best fits you normally.     • Their size 10 = EU 44 or 270mm. Good comfy shoes but the laces aren't good.

The shoes are rather wide. Not just in how they fit my feet, but the soles are quite a bit wider than the shoe they are supporting. "LAnoudun" seems to be the actual shoe brand. Fit is fine; I actually took a gamble on a size slightly smaller than my current shoes (10 vs 10.5) and they still fit quite well. Nowhere on the shoe does it mention US size, just EU 44 and 270 (millimeter measurement), which is in fact spot on for my feet. The tongue on the right shoe has a tendency to curl up along its edge as I put it on, which creates painful a pressure point. Once I found out why it happened though, it was easy to make sure the tongue stays true as I insert my foot. There is little to no arch support, however. The shoelaces feel quite wimpy, thin and stretchy and probably not long for this world. And finally, while it's a completely subjective thing, I don't love the look of them in person. I wanted function over form in the first place, but they really look more like kids' shoes. Oh well, they do fine on the farm and with light hiking, and that's what I bought them for! ... show more

My wife occasionally decides to join me on construction projects. She is not a contractor, nor is she a laborer. She is mostly an observer who enjoys pointing at things and asking why we are doing it that way. I appreciate the company, but a construction site is no place for sneakers. I wanted her to be safe, so I bought these steel toe work boots. I also wanted her to stop asking if she could borrow my spare boots, which are five sizes too big and smell like hard work and regret. I handed her the box and she looked at it with mild suspicion. She pulled the boots out. They looked sturdy and professional, not like a costume prop. She put them on and stomped around the living room. The first thing she noted was the weight. They were surprisingly light for boots that contain a literal piece of steel in the toe. She said they felt more like hiking boots than the heavy clodhoppers she expected. She wiggled her toes. She did a little jump. She announced that they were actually quite comfortable. She wore them to the site the next day. She walked over gravel, navigated through sawdust, and stepped over lumber with confidence. The boots gave her a sense of authority. She walked with a different stride, like she was ready to inspect a foundation or yell at an electrician. She told me she felt like "part of the crew." I just nodded and told her not to touch the power tools. The steel toes have not been tested yet, and I hope they never are. My goal is for her to stay far away from anything heavy enough to crush a foot. But knowing that protection is there gives me peace of mind. It allows her to be on site without me worrying about every stray brick. For now, they are just comfortable, lightweight boots that make my wife look like she knows how to frame a wall. That is good enough for me. If you need safety gear for a casual visitor or a serious worker, these boots seem to do the job without weighing you down. ... show more
