It's soooo much quieter than my old hot dog. Works great. I did the "break in" run per instructions. All is well. I wasn't prepared for the weight and non-ergonomically-designed handle. Another review said that it was too low for a tall man, but the center of gravity is pretty far forward for a short woman to lean it back and roll it, so I might create a taller handle for leverage, plus hose and tool storage that could act as counterweight, but come off (like a vice grip type connection maybe?) when I actually have to lift it. With the (Not Included) 50 ft hose and 100 ft of extension cords, that won't be often, and I may not end up changing anything. I suggest getting 2 good, rubbery 25' air hoses instead of one 50' with a swivel or quick-connect between them. My 50' hose is awesome, but it's a lot of hose in one run. The coiled plastic included with the Craftsman hot dog lasted years, but I always wondered if this would be the last use. I avoided that this time, but, yeah, a 50' fatty bologna hose isn't so "portable" for me as 2- 25s, so I'll cut fatty in half, eventually. Back to the topic... I read other reviews that said the regulators sometimes leak, so I planned to change it out. It is very slowly losing pressure, but I haven't tracked it down. Could just as easily be the tire pump attachment, but regardless, it's too slow a loss to bother with now. Overall, I would buy it again if it somehow fell out of the back of my truck and went off a cliff or something. I looked everywhere online for weeks before deciding on this as the best deal on the most powerful truly portable (wheels) compressor attachment the best price, and so far it looks like my research paid off. And, did I mention that the "Stealth" name on this thing isn't bull****? It is soooooooo quiet. If it suits your needs, I'd have to say that this one is a good purchase. ... show more

Seriously. If you are looking for an air compressor this is the one you want. What matters in an air compressor? It has enough capacity to handle whatever you would do in your home and I think enough to drive air tools on the job. It reaches maximum pressure from empty tanks in less than 2 minutes. and as you use it, recovers from pressure loss in seconds, not minutes. AND, it is very quiet. I’ve had this compressor for several months now and I am very happy with it. My previous compressor was a pancake style compressor and it was very loud, over 100 decibels. Using a decibel meter on my iPhone, which I don’t know how accurate it is, but this compressor is around 70 decibels. It is very quiet. I can stand right next to it and have a normal conversation. Over the past few months I have had no issues with it. it takes about 90 seconds to go from empty to full. Controlling the amount of pressure going to the hose is very easy to adjust. When using it and it needs to fill back up, it takes around 15 seconds to fill back up. I use the compressor with several different nail guns, for blowing dust off equipments, and for pumping up tires and balls. It has worked great with all of them. I was using a pancake compressor for my pneumatic tool and it was like a freight train sporadically stopped through my living room before going on its way with its cargo every 10 min. Either my neighbors were very supportive of my jackhammering competition they must have thought I was practicing for or they constantly had The Sims double negative reaction hovering over their heads every time I worked. I also work at night. I was skeptical but I decided to dish out the $230 for this. I AM SO GLAD I DID OH MY GOD. There is so much of a difference. I don't have this cloud of dread and paranoia that I'm going to have angry knocking on my door every time it refills itself. I went outside as it filled from within my living room to listen for it and couldn't hear it at all. It has nice cfm too. It's been about a month now with no issues and I'm curious as to when I'll have the regulator knob issue that I keep reading about. But even if I had an some unfixable issue later on, I wouldn't even mind dropping for this again. ... show more

My last compressor lasted me 15 years. It suffered tumbles and tossing a fro my truck and built a lot of houses. It actually would still work, but the vibrations ended up tearing a small leak at a weld point. It was sad to see her go… and I bought this one because I wanted something compact and that had some air storage capacity. First off, this thing is QUIET! We’re not talking just less noisy than the old rattle trap, we’re talking close the door and forget that it’s running quiet. Oh the years of getting the holy bejeezus scared out of me when old faithful would fire off…. They are gone! Not only will this thing run framing nailers and finish nailers, if the tank is full it will give a kick to an air ratchet to bust loose sticky bolts…. This little guy is sweet. I hope to get as much quiet life out of this as the old dinosaur, so far. It’s great! ... show more
