  • Not the same as the non-cellular version...
Style: TRANSMIT - Cellular AT&T or VERIZON
I had 2 of the non-cellular versions of this camera, and I couldn't have been happier (except for the need to HAVE to go to the camera for pictures/videos) so imagine my excitement when they came out with a cellular version of this camera. It was an absolute let down. The picture quality was abysmal, the sensor has a mind of its own and only triggers occasionally, and the phone app is quirky at best. I called customer service and worked through a lot of "fixes" for the camera, but nothing fixed the problems. We upgraded the firmware, tried different angles to point the camera, aimed it in different directions, and many other tricks. I ended up suspending my service from the camera and use it as a standard camera now. Unfortunately, even as a standard camera, the quality of the images and videos are not as good as the non-cellular version. I have not found any camera brand that is as good as the non-cellular version. If you are able to get to the camera, definitely go with the non-cellular version and never look back. ... show more

  • Buyer beware!!!!!!
Style: ULTIMATE
I'll write another review since my first one disappeared. Camera was fine until update time. Garbage Camera shut down after doing an update. Customer service is the absolute worse. You can't speak to someone directly, they have to call you back when its convenient for them. I called a few days ago and still no call. Nothing better then sitting around for lazy customer service to call you back while you sit there with their garbage product. Buyer beware!!! ... show more

  • This is NOT an internet camera
Style: ULTIMATE
The way I read the sales pitch it does not say ... but implied that this was an internet camera. It is not. I sent it back --- with no problems from either Amazon or the seller 👍

  • Failed at 95 days. Don’t Waste Your Money!
Style: TRANSMIT - Cellular AT&T or VERIZON
I purchased the camera and charge pack. It took great pics for 90 days. I received a notification that a software update was needed. After the update the camera never turned back on. I have attempted to contact Stealth through emails and via phone. Stealth will not respond to emails and I can’t reach anyone at the company. I read online that other people have had the same problem with Stealth and the software update. A big waste of money! Update: Stealth did call me back. They advised me a replacement camera is being mailed out in 4 days. ... show more

  • Did Not Work Well For Me
Style: ULTIMATE
I wanted to know what animal was pooping near my front door (squirrel? rat? bat?), so I got this thinking it would pick up the movement and I'd be able to discover the answer to this pressing mystery. Alas, this did NOT work out. No pictures were captured overnight during the brief period this worked. That's right. Not only did it not do what I had hoped, but it crapped out on me completely after a few days, maybe a week. Sad day. I sent it back for a refund and to this day have no idea whose poo was being left by my door. ... show more

  • Failed after 2 month
Style: ULTIMATE
Camera has intermittent problems. Hangs on “waiting” when turned on then cycles through that process several times. It sometimes does not come on at all. I’ve tested it many times with good batteries and have updated the operating system in the camera but it does not record video about 50% of the time. I think Stealthcam got a bad batch. I had to return two cameras before I finally got one that works. I've had good luck with Stealth Cam in the past and own 4 others. I know how they're supposed to work. Edit 9/4/22: lowerd rating to 1 star. Even the one that seemed to be working has failed. ... show more

  • Bought the Returned Version
Style: TRANSMIT - Cellular AT&T or VERIZON
It did not work out of the box. Quality control at amazon failed on this one. It was returned because it did not work and amazon resold it without ensuring it worked.

  • Cannot Recommend
Style: TRANSMIT - Cellular AT&T or VERIZON
This was the first stealth cam trail camera I've used. As other reviewers mentioned, the camera does not capture images reliably. I've replaced the batteries, updated to the latest software, and walking in front of the camera in daylight fails to capture an image. I'm going to attempt to warrenty the camera directly with Stealth Cam. Hoping that the comments about bad customer support are not true. For a camera that is over $200 + a monthly cost there is an expectation of quality that does not exist with this specific camera. ... show more
