  • Poor instructions but was able to make it work
Instructions are very poor but I was able to program on a CR-V 2011, Instructions mention to connect the antenna to the T harness RF kit connector, but the T harness did not come with such connector , after contacting product support found out that the antenna needs to be connected to the 4 pin black connector on the module labeled as Weblink, after connecting and following the instructions, the antenna would only flash 3 times when button was pressed and LEDs will not stay solid when pressing and holding. I read everywhere on the web and looks like you have to do the Tach Learning Procedure before trying to program the remotes, I did that using a manual I found online googling the module PN, but after this, antenna LEDs will continue to flash and not stay solid. Not this part is a little fuzzy because I was about to give up, I remember unlocking the doors using the remote, turning the key to the ON position, then OFF position then ON position again, and then pressing the antenna button multiple times and holding the button in the interim, eventually antenna LEDs were solid, then I was able to program both remotes with no issues and the range is great, it only gets one star due to poor instruction, it works great but it was a pain to program. ... show more

  • missing two advertised features, has terrible instructions and is expensive. No value here.
Installation was a nightmare but I did eventually get it done. However it does not function as advertised. The range is nowhere near the 3000’ that is listed. The remote does not have a feedback signal when the car does start. It is missing two advertised features, has terrible instructions and is expensive. No value here. ... show more

  • It works, poor instructions. Here’s some help!
4 stars due to terrible instructions. Both the video and booklet fall short for the version of the Remote Start Kit being sold in 2026. It does work so be patient. I’m assuming they’ve updated their main modules. Mine didn’t have blue 4 pin on the cable and I had to use the black 4 pin on the module labeled web interface. I also used review feedback to get mine to work on my 2018 Toyota 4Runner (key ignition). Hopefully these steps work for you. Mine match a reviewer with a Honda Odyssey I think. -Sitting in the truck click unlock on the key fob, insert key and turn to full on (not start), turn off, and back on again. Don’t start truck. -Click button on antenna once (blue light will flash), let go, and then press and hold (blue light should come on and stay on) let go and should stay blue. -Immediately click the button on 1 fob and let go. You should get feedback that action was taken. Repeat with the 2nd fob right away. Feedback should be given. I think I remember the feedback bing a clicking or beep. -Blue lights on antenna should remain on. -Turn off truck, remove key, and pray ;-) -Test by pressing and holding button on either fob. Will cycle through steps and start. (Doors must be closed) -Also, single click and double click on fob will lock and unlock doors. ... show more

  • Needs to be fixed
I thought everyone else didn’t know how to install it but I was wrong, it does not work. The starter works flawlessly but the extender kit will not work. Flashes when plugged in but when trying to pair nothing. Tried both ways the included instructions and the other ones they provide online

  • Poor instructions - Needs improvement. How i finally got it to pair though on Honda Odyssey 2012
Honda 2012 Odyssey - Instructions are not correct with product or online via their website. I emailed helpdesk, got new instructions. New instructions say that if you do not have a connection for the RF cable in the T-harness, then to connect the 4-pin to a Black pin on the module (no description ow where or picture). Finally, i figured out that the RF cable gones in the port called "Weblink" black 4-pin next to the "USB" connector on the Start-X module. Then antenna still would not pair. I followed the instructions exactly – and did not work. Finally, after 30 minutes + of struggling – it worked once by the following: I finally discovered how to solve Antenna pair ... for now. This is for 2012 Honda Odyssey with a physical key for ignition: Press unlock. Turn vehicle to Run, Off, Run. Press and hold antenna button. Get blue light on antenna to flash twice using press and hold. IT WILL NOT STAY LIT! Then turn car to “OFF”. Then turn back to “Run”. If blue is not lit, press antenna once. Then it will be solid blue. Then some combination of touching or holding the antenna button again finally got it into programing mode. Swear a few times and repeat with the second remote. ... show more

  • Make sure you order the correct extender for your make of vehicle.
I purchased the Start X remote start that uses the factory fob, the fob wouldn't reach out far enough. I then purchased the 2000 ft extender, had no luck with programming, after finally getting ahold of tech support, was told that I had purchased the wrong extender for my make of car. So, I sent this one back, and order the 3000 ft one for my make of car. Took a little bit to program, I believe it was in "valet mode", so I reprogrammed the module. then programmed the the extender again, and it worked. This extender is a 2 way extender, and gives feedback that the vehicle has been started. I see lots of negative feedback, make sure you have ordered the correct extender for your vehicle, with my vehicle I needed to use the "weblink" black 4 pin terminal. ... show more
