Beautiful bag but damaged

Beautiful bag and I do love it. Unfortunately it was damaged upon receiving. I didn’t return because they are sold out everywhere. I have able to use a suede maintenance kit to make the damage less noticeable but it is still there unfortunately.

Another winner from coach‼️. The leather is just beautiful and its 2 side pockets are perfect, also lined In leather. Only complaint is the middle main area is rather small, but the pockets make up for that. Very comfortable and you get to choose how you want to carry this stunner. It can be used with top handles or also comes with shoulder bag length straps. There is also a strap for cross body. The BEST part is the top handles fold down so you can use as an underarm clutch. Actually tuck inside the bag for a very seamless and versatile piece. I got the chocolate brown and the color is rich and expensive looking. This is not a cheap bag, but who wants a cheap bag, especially if you’re a handbag fanatic

A beautiful “buy it for life” bag

This bag is SO gorgeous in person! I thought my Motts, Chelsea, and Brooklyns had a beautiful slouch and richness when worn in — but this bag is even more so. It is like various shades of melted dark chocolate, depending on the lighting. It really is so indulgent looking ~ I adore the versatility with all the strap options, too! They can all also be tucked away, inside, as needed — yes, even the luggage handles! My one issue is, unfortunately, why I cannot keep the bag — for my needs, the bag’s capacity is less than what I was needing (I already have similar bags that have a comparable capacity), so I’ll instead repurchase the size 40 (or empire 48). I’ll be returning it, shortly, but definitely a bit regretful to see it go ~

Defective or used merchandise being sold as new

I am writing because after purchasing five Coach handbags in a relatively short period of time, I am beyond disappointed by the quality control, fulfillment, packaging, and overall customer experience I have received. These are not inexpensive purchases. The handbags I have purchased have ranged from approximately $750 to $950 each, and out of five purchases, three of the four bags I ordered online have had to be returned because they either arrived damaged or appeared to have been previously used and then sold to me as new merchandise. For clarity, here has been my experience: • My first purchase was a Coach Rogue 40 in black leather for approximately $950. It arrived in excellent condition, and I was extremely impressed with the quality. • I then purchased a Coach Carryall 40 in Maple Loved Leather in a Coach store. That handbag was also satisfactory and remains in my possession. • I ordered a Rogue 31 in brown suede online. It arrived appearing to have already been used, and I returned it. • I ordered an Empire Carryall 48 in Loved Leather. It arrived damaged and had to be returned. • I most recently ordered an Empire Carryall 40 in black, which arrived today. It is also damaged and will now have to be returned. That means that out of five handbags purchased, I currently have only two that were delivered to me in acceptable condition. At this point, I have approximately $2,450 worth of handbag purchases tied up in the return process before taxes and any other charges are even considered. I now have to wait for Coach to receive and process multiple returns before that money becomes available to me again — all because products that should have passed basic quality control were sent to me in unacceptable condition. I have already contacted customer service and reached out through Facebook. The response and resolution offered thus far have been nowhere near proportional to the experience I have had. The condition of the products is only part of the problem. The presentation and packaging have been shockingly poor for handbags in this price category. My approximately $950 Empire Carryall 48 was essentially placed inside a plastic bag and then inside a shipping box with virtually no meaningful protective packaging or presentation. There was no sense whatsoever that I had just purchased a nearly $1,000 handbag. To make matters worse, Coach uses FedEx, and the tracking information for that shipment was so inadequate that the handbag simply appeared at my door. I had no indication that a package containing a $950 handbag was even going to be delivered that day. That is unacceptable from both a customer-experience and security standpoint. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that I believe Coach is sitting on an enormous opportunity right now. There is a growing demographic of women like me who have spent significant money with traditional luxury houses such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Fendi, Prada, and others, but who have become increasingly frustrated with paying $3,000, $4,000, $5,000, $6,000 or more for handbags while watching quality and customer experience decline. After receiving my first Rogue 40, I genuinely thought Coach might have figured out something those brands had forgotten. The leather, construction, design, and value were so impressive that I would have confidently said Coach could compete with — and in some respects outperform — handbags costing several times more. I was prepared to become a very loyal Coach customer. Instead, three defective or previously used online purchases later, I am questioning whether I am willing to order another handbag from Coach at all. Customers spending $750 to $1,000 on a handbag should not be wondering whether the item arriving at their home will be damaged, previously used, poorly packaged, or otherwise unacceptable. And they certainly should not have thousands of dollars repeatedly tied up in returns because Coach failed to properly inspect merchandise before shipping it. I am not writing because I want a generic apology or another scripted customer-service response. I am asking Coach to take this complaint seriously and provide a meaningful response regarding: 1. Why quality control has failed on three of my four online handbag purchases. 2. Why merchandise that appears previously used is being shipped as new. 3. Why handbags approaching $1,000 are being packaged and presented so poorly. 4. What Coach intends to do to restore my confidence as a customer after this experience. Coach has an opportunity to capture customers who are actively walking away from traditional luxury brands and are willing to spend significant money for excellent leather goods without paying several thousand dollars simply for a logo. But those customers also expect quality control, presentation, reliability, and service. Right now, Coach is making an excellent product in many respects while undermining it with an online purchasing experience that does not remotely match the price point. I have purchased five handbags because I genuinely wanted to become a Coach customer. Three returns caused by Coach’s own quality-control failures should make it obvious why I am now questioning that decision. I would appreciate this complaint being escalated to someone who can provide more than a standard customer-service response and who has the authority to meaningfully address what has happened. This is an absolutely stunning bag. The quality, the color, the suede material and slouch are astounding. I took off a star because although it was factory wrapped it did have one small blemish on the suede. Nothing worth returning, as this will happen over time. It fits so much, while allowing you to keep things accessible and organized. This is a bag that can be dressed up or dressed down. With the 3 options for carry it's very versatile. Although pricey the craftsmanship is worth the cost. Just add suede protectant and you're good to go. Buy the bag!
