Description

B. V. Larson returns to the world of his Audible best-selling Star Force series for the first time in three years with this original, full-cast audio drama.A new stand-alone space drama by B. V. Larson makes its debut in the wildly popular Star Force series with an extensive and stellar cast. When the Ancients, a mysterious alien race, vanished before Earth's last ice age, they left behind a highway of interconnected rings across the galaxy. Humanity knows how to use the highway, but not how to build any more rings, or alter the connection pattern between them. Now the Imperial starship Pandora is on a mission to discover and explore new interstellar connection points. On Venus, they meet a rogue robot, Marvin, with a mission of his own to reconnect the rings into a new pattern. The result is pure pandemonium. Everything goes haywire. Grotesque aliens are coming through the ring, overrunning Pandora's base camp. The good news? The aliens can be killed. The bad news: The aliens keep coming through the ring, and no one knows how to turn off the connection leading directly to their home world. But even if the aliens can be defeated - there’s still Marvin to contend with and his alternate agenda.Starship Pandora is performed by:Mark Boyett as Marvin and Gen. Kerr; Marc Vietor as Maj. Drake; Tim Gerard Reynolds as Dr. Blear; Scott Aiello as Capt. Stiles; Natalie Gold as Lt. Hersh; Jamie Jackson as Emperor Crow; Graeme Malcolm as Adm. Newcome. With additional roles performed by Kevin T. Collins; Lauren Fortgang; Natasha Soudek; Jeena Yi; Gabriel Vaughan; Josh Hurley; Eddy Lee; and B. V. • Much prefer a true audio book over this.
Format: Audiobook
I found the idea of this as an audio drama rather then a true audio book annoying. The story was ok but would have been better if it was a completely written book.

  • "Drama" format distracting, otherwise, good Star Force filler
Format: Audiobook
Having listened to all of the Star Force series, I found this 'drama' format distracting and hard to listen to. I enjoy how BV Larson typically describes a scene but in this case, you are left to fill in a lot of gaps as there are just some noises (sometimes obnoxious) and a little descriptive dialog. I did enjoy a story heavy with Marvin, and filling in the cyborg gaps, but I knocked down 2 stars for the 'drama' format and overall short length of the story. Mark's narration in the previous books is amazing and I believe Audible tried to fix something that is not broken and made it worse. ... show more

  • Old Star Force Fun but
Format: Audiobook
The story had alot of the old Star Force fun but not a fan of the new format. It is much harder to follow and to far from a orginal book, like reading an abridged version of some classic.

  • Please don't do this. It ruins the series.
Format: Audiobook
I don't think it is right for people to try to "balance" bad reviews. I prefer books. I like to listen to audioBOOKs. This seems like a movie without the video component. If I wanted to listen to a movie, I could just play a movie and not look at it. Please don't don't this kind of nonsense anymore. One of the reasons I object so strongly is that I'm a huge fan of Star Force, and doing this kind of thing is going to put a hole in my experience and will force me to lose interest in any future books there might be. ... show more

  • Unexpectedly Really Good!
Format: Audiobook
Well done and well cast. Once it got going story took unexpected turns and the audio cast & crew did a great production job. I wish more books were done like this. If you like sci fi dramatizations this is one of the good ones. Try the sample you might like it.

  • Another exellent work within the Star Force series
I harass thsi author continually via email to pick up the pace of production of new Star Force and Undying Mercenaries books. This audio was a fun ride.
