  • Easily ripped on very first use
I've used many inexpensive tarps and never had any of them rip, tear or break. I've been camping for decades and staking down this one two of the 'reinforced' corners ripped immediately. I later put a chair down which I have done in the past with other tarps and with this tarp it ripped. I've been happy with other Stansport products, but this tarp is only slightly more durable than a thick sheet of paper. I'll stick with my inexpensive tarp brands that have never failed me. ... show more

  • One lasted 6 months, won't survive much use
I have two of these, the one I laid flat on the ground outside to cover some stuff is still ok. The other one I used as a boat cover survived about 6 months with a few gorilla tape patches but its now a bit beyond repair. There weren't any really sharp edges but there were a few spots that might slightly more stress then others. Part in the middle just comes apart like confetti now. I did find a 16 Mil Thick tarp for good price on here so we're trying that one out now. It's a lot heavier so hopefully it will hold up better. Note if you have tarp bungie cords and spikes I'd recommend using them. I actually had them and didn't use them first time around. ... show more

  • Too thin and not true to color
This product was a disappointment. It is awful thin. It also didn't even match the color shown on the website or on the paper picture inside the product bag. It is a very dark green that almost appears black. Color is the least of my worries though. I hope the tarp does its job ok. It states that it is medium duty. I'd hate to see what low duty is. I just won't leave it outside in harsh weather. It did state that the thickness is 5 mil. I didn't know what that meant, but I will be sure to pay attention to that measurement next time I order a tarp. I guess I will just need to spend the extra dollars to purchase a heavy duty tarp. ... show more

  • Hold in heat; keeps rainwater out
Tarp is used on the roof of my motorhome to keep out water and keep it warmer. It’s doing both jobs well.

  • Disintegrating after sun exposure
This product was perfect for my needs early on - covering wood piles. Very effective and easy to use. But there is clearly little to no UV protection. These tarps were outside with reasonable sun exposure (5 hr/day?) and after a 14-15 months are starting to disintegrate to the point that I will have to replace them with another product. Perhaps it was my mistake not looking for sun exposure protection, but I was disappointed. I expect these would be just fine for more temporary outdoor use, but don't use them for long-term exposures. ... show more

  • Multi Purpose Tarp
We bought this tarp to use as a roof over a wood frame shed. It is a little thinner than we had hoped but is working pretty well. We did get one small tear while attaching it but were able to repair that and it has held up for a month in several rain storms and winds. It does not measure quite as large as the dimensions claim. So be aware that it is a bit shorter and wider than advertised. For the price it is a good buy. ... show more

  • Not Reinforced!
I own 2 smaller size tarps by the same supplier. Have had no problems with them. Theor weight is medium and great for car camping. However, on the first use of yhis largest tarp while camping, 3 eyelets are tearing. I have pics, but can't figure out how to include them. Will request replaement when I get home. ... show more
