I have a Jack Russell/Kishu Inu mix, with extremely sharp claws. Since his claws have shredded the heavy cotton, & king size comforter I keep in the back of my Crosstrek, I hope the canvas lasts longer. I keep the back seats folded down when I have a dog. Fortunately, I found rubber rear seat protectors, & then laid this under the folded seat & down the length to the rear tailgate. It helps with sand, mud, & fur. So, I hope this lasts longer that what I had been using. Those went through 3 big dogs with no problems. Jack is another issue altogether! ... show more

It’s a nice tarp. Heavy duty but still fairly flexible. I fastened it in the back seat of one of my cars so my big dog with the bear claws could ride. I never had long term success with the pet covers. We’ll see how it goes.

The tarp lies under a a dog pen, folded a couple of times. The dog hasn't tried to tear it up--there's nothing to grab on to. Easy to wipe up spills and to clean. Recommended.
