I’ve been a regular paddle boarder for the past year and a half, I love my introductory board but it was lacking some features and finesse that I wanted. After I realized this is something I really enjoy doing, I decided to “upgrade”. I wanted a more streamlined board built for efficiency, able to make long miles easier and capacity for storage to do some island hopping and camping. After a lot of research the mistral verde seemed to hit all the marks. Double bungees, mount for a GoPro, 350 lbs rating, d rings for a seat, and I loved the length and width not being so narrow. My other board only has one bungee no mount no d rings and is 10’6” and 33”. Of course it was only $130 and has held up beautifully despite abuse. I’ve yet to truly test the verde but after a test paddle I felt stable, comfortable, and am excited to take it out for a camping trip. The colors are also vivid and pleasing to the eye. I feel comparable boards are double or more the price, if you’re looking for what I was honestly you can’t go wrong. Treat yourself!

This board is fun to paddle. Its fast and cut through rough water and track extremely well. We had a small issue, so I sent an email to Mistral customer care on Saturday and received an email response on Sunday. Could not be happies with the Mistral 14' board and the customer care was great. Will recommend this board and might get a 2nd board so my son and I can go on longer paddle together.

I own 6 paddle boards and this is by far my favorite, especially for open water. My other boards sizes are: 9.5 feet by 32, 11 by 35, 10.5 by 33, 11.5 by 33 and 12.5 by 32. The tracking is amazing for the price. 8-15 strokes per side before having to switch. It accelerates faster, has an higher top end speed and it holds speed much better! Most boards will turn me sideways after 3-5 strokes. This is an intermediate board. It has a lower weight capacity. Can be difficult to turn, but what do you expect for 14 feet long?

Wow. First off I will say that you need to be good on your balance. But, when you are set this thing flys! I have several other inflatable SUP's and all shorter and wider, so easier to balance, but they trod along compared to this. And then if you get on your knees to paddle you can really fly! I mean every stroke you move and move - think about the competition kayaks - those one's that are long and thin.. There is a reason they are built for competition. This is it. Others may also have more tie off points or ability to carry more, but that is not what this is for, so appreciate that you have some bungie cord holds. The bag is a cool idea and I was kind of annoyed in the handle placement and not rolling - as I was pulling behind me like luggage. But, when I learned to keep this on my side, then it rolled like a dream. Just try it. It works. I didn't try the manual pump as I have battery powered inflators (and will never carry these massive manual pumps except to keep in my truck as backup). I have to admit it is pricier than the other boards, but if you want to fly, this is it.
