When it said "sticky backing" I was expecting it to be allot more sticky. I ended up gluing them down. Once down tho, they look very attractive and I feel safer going down the stairs. They feel very plush under your feet.

I went back to my original order & just reordered them. They look the same as the original order but these have no adhesive. They do not stay put, especially on the top, bottom, & landing stairs. Added these to make my stairs more safe since we have kids. The material holds up very well even for my kids! So far the adhesion is working but we shall see after the 6 month test.

Got these for my senior dog. We put new floors in and he was used to carpet. Peeled the paper off stuck down no problem. Couple days late they were not sticking at all. Dog hair sticks to them and difficult to vacuum .

Not sticky at all. Used them on clean unstained wood and they move. I will have to either use glue on them or staple them for safety.

The product looks good after installed, but they are definitely not stick and done. First they came in a box where they were folded in the middle,that created an unsightly bump that wouldn't go away after a day under weight. They also don't stick well even after cleaning the stairs multiple times with alcohol. The middle bumped up and the corners stood up. Had to tack them in the center and double sided tape in the corners to get them to stay. Obviously it defeats the purpose of them being washable since taking them out and reinstalling would be a nightmare, maybe velcro could work for someone else. They are also hard to peel. Now the positive, they do look good after installed and after a few months of use they have not worn down. ... show more

Purchased this product twice within 2 months. Both times marketed as easy to peel for adhesive portion to cling to stair, only both boxes had the same issue; only the first two treads were easy to peel as the red arrow actually adhered to the clear peel away part. The rest had stickers that were half misplaced and not actually sticking to the clear peel away strip, which resulted in a battle to remove clear peel away bit.
