I bought this bowl for the same reason everyone has and I love it for what it is. I have a pup and purchased a medium size which is a little big but my pup pushes her food around and I know she will grow into the size soon. I've seen what other people say and partially agree. For this price just based on what is out there, it could def be a tiny bit more price friendly but even then I think the investment is worth it. My main concern is the rubber on the bottom. It has a white ash to it and when putting it on, I noticed there is a strong rubber smell that comes off on your hands when placing it back on. I tasted a finger to see if it was more and you can DEFINITELY taste rubber. I know it seems obvious but not other kinds of rubbers for packing food for example. So, since a rubber like that exists, I would say why not use that? Only because someone may own a dog that is a curious licker and I'm not it's not good for them. Besides that, I love this bowl since it helps slow my pups eating down and letting her have a chance to catch up between vacuuming down her food and breathing. My advice, if it's in your budget and your dog eats too fast or has any type of gas like issues, buy it, just feel out the rubber. Might have to do without it or come up with a work around. ... show more

The bowl is a little pricey, but worth it. My French Bulldog’s face is no longer covered in food between his wrinkles. I was using a regular food with a tennis ball underneath it to creat a tilt. The problem is that the food bowl was too deep for his flat face. So of course his little face had food bits all over and food was everywhere outside his bowl. This new food bowl is awesome and my dogs face has no food and no mess around his new bowl. Note: Get appropriate feed size.
