My family has used this product for 2 months. The bowls are not very thin or thick. I do advise pot holders for hot food in the bowls/plates. They tend to heat fast through out. Thick gauge, stamped stainless steel dishes polished to a mirror finish; what more needs to be said? Oh, they’re CHEAP. Really cheap. These are a perfect product. Even the stainless cups are perfect - they’re double walled so you don’t burn your hands with coffee. This entire set costs less than four single-walled cups from Kleen Kanteen. This product ships from China. The transit time for my package, from China to Arkansas was 16 days (July 31 to Aug 15). This was several days before the estimated time which was a window of August 21 to September 12. The package was extremely well packed, wrapped in bubble packing with plastic sheets or bags between or around each piece. The items seem to be very sturdy and are well polished with no visible imperfections. Two things stand out that are the minus one star. One is the carry back. It's a simple drawstring bag and is so lightweight and flimsy that I seriously doubt it would stand up to a true camping trip. Since I'm not using this set as camping gear, it's not an issue for me, but if someone is counting on it to carry the set, they're likely going to be disappointed. And frankly, having the cute little bunny on it seems odd considering this is being marketed as a camping set. A graphic more in keeping with the great outdoors would make more sense. The only real downside is the glasses/cups. As soon as I opened the package and saw them, I knew they weren't big enough. I checked the listing and it describes the cups as being 250ml (approximately 8 fluid ounces). So I filled one to overflowing and poured it into a measure cup and it was slightly over 6 fluid ounces or approximately 180ml. Considering no one would fill on that full, it will only comfortably hold about 5 ounces. These cups aren't big enough to use for anything other than maybe juice glasses or to have out in the bathroom for guests who stay overnight. Overall, this is a good purchase and I suspect I will well get my money's worth out of it. **Update** Shortly before I posted my original review, I gave the same feedback to the seller at their request. After completing my review, I received an answer from the seller saying that they were changing the cups to 250ml. Quite honestly, I'm not sure if they meant they would be correcting the listing or if they were putting a different cup in the kit. Regardless, I was impressed by the quick reply. One other thing mentioned by the shipper was that the item is not handled by Amazon. Looking at the listing now, it shows as a Prime item so I'm assuming that means it will no longer be shipping literally from China. Overall, I'm a bit impressed with this seller.

Overall this is a very good set. I just wish they would have packaged it better for the rough treatment during shipment so the cups didn’t come dented.

We received ours in perfect order; no grime or dents or anything. Actually, each dish was wrapped in a thin plastic bag. I suspect that the company began doing this after something somehow became dirty in transit. Pros: I love the weight, it feels like these dishes will last at least a generation. Of course stainless steel does not absorb germs or odors the way that plastic, wood, stoneware and many other materials do, nor is it leaching toxic chemicals. We are very happy with that change in our home, as well as the fact that these dishes, literally, cannot be broken by careless dropping. Cons: The rims on the plates are MUCH higher that on a conventional plate. We could clearly see that in photos but it will take some deprogramming on what a plate is "supposed" to look like for me to adjust. I'm not entirely sure this is a con because taller rims are simply more practical, whether a child is carrying a full plate or you're balancing on your lap so that you can enjoy "dinner and a show." P.S. The carrying bag was useless after a two day (car) camping trip. It feels like a semi-disposable shopping bag aka economy reusable. Conclusion: If you you don't mind tall rims, these stainless steel dishes are great!

I was really sold on stainless steel plates and bowls the cups are a huge bonus. For the price this is a hard set to beat. As a father of three little kids I was tired of replacing all of my broken dishes, and could not stand the idea of cutting food on a plastic plate for the kids to eat. This is not even taking into consideration the wastefulness plastic in a larger scale. My only comment is the stamping at the bottom of the plates, I feel like they could have gone without the stamp. It is not shown in any of the photos on the product page. have provided a picture of the stamp people can see before purchasing. All of the bowls and plates have this stamp. They are incredibly durable and I can see my kids feeding their kids with these in the future, and that's enough for me. The bag is pretty much garbage.
