Staedtler tends to be a little more expensive than other brands, but their pricing matches the quality they produce. This refill fits my Staedtler Mars Drafting Mechanical Pencils 3 pk, 0.3, 0.5, & 0.7mm widths, 925WP3 0.5mm mechanical pencil perfectly and is what I automatically grab when I desire a medium width line. I can feel a difference when I write or draw with this vs an off brand - I have never experienced the scratchiness or drag that can plague other leads. This lead doesn't break easily, provides a consistent stroke, and erases cleanly. The refill arrived within the two day time frame that Prime advertises. Bottom Line: I will buy this again. Even the most prolific artist, or the "wordiest" scribe will have plenty of lead to keep them busy with the 12 pieces of lead contained in the protective little holder - it's nice to spend your time drawing or writing, rather than ordering additional product and waiting for it to arrive. Wonderful leads. Just one problem! The leads slip thru the mechanical pencils I own... a couple pentel, and a couple Zebra. I ordered the Mars Staedtler but it was out for delivery... 6 times... and went back to warehouse. So I cancled the order. I will eventually order the Staedtler Mars pencil.

I When it comes to pens and pencils my choice is always Staedtler product. I used up my pencil leads and had to have only Staedtler because their product means quality. Leads are smooth but strong. Writing or drawing it can do it all without any flaws. Recommend!

Only 1 (12 pieces inside only) for $5 when I expected a case like in the picture, or maybe with 250 total... I guess it's some kind of technical product code. I feel super cheated... Can't return it either. Not like this is a high-end brand, though dependable quality; still, I wouldn't pay $5 for only THIS much lead... ... show more
