I have the 7'4" Heavy Fast. It is an excellent rod at its price point. Very light, very sensitive, very strong. I don't understand why the hook keep is below the reel. I found that to be a very inconvenient place, sticking myself many times, and wonder if that was ever usage tested? It is unusable, and for now, I secure my lure on the eyelet closest to the reel. ... show more

I have 6 of these and broke two… St Croix’s quality control has taken a turn south… Older rods were twice as good… still Worth the money, but not a heirloom anymore

Bought this rod in March, it snapped after 4 times out. I have multiple Mojo Bass rods and they are awesome. I can only guess that this rod sat around at Modern Outdoor Tackle too long and had dry rot. I would look elsewhere.
