I enjoy using this adjustable dumbbell in my home gym. I definitely prefer having the small footprint of this adjustable dumbbell versus a tower of multiple dumbbells. It’s also much more efficient than a traditional free weight system where I’d have to add and replace plates individually. Each of the plates weighs 2.75 pounds. Plates are added and removed on each side simultaneously. Each time the weight is adjusted it does so by a total of 4.5 pounds. The handle twists while it sits in the cradle, which allows me to lock in or remove the plates. There is a visual window that allows me to see the numerical equivalent to the total weight of the dumbbell that I have selected. There is no pins or anything to remove and lock in. I simply twist the handle to adjust the dial up and down as many times as needed to get the weight that I want to use. And then lifts up very simply from the cradle. It also sits down into the cradle very easily. there’s not a lot of components to try to lineup and get the weight to sit back in the cradle.

My husband absolutely loves this weight set. We have a number of different styles of weights and these are by far his favorite for convenience. It is like having a complete set of individual weights, but in one compact set. They are super practical, especially if you’re limited on space. The way they work, when the weight is resting in the base, is to turn the handle to the desired weight and simply lift. The necessary weight plates stay attached to the bar and the remaining ones stay in the base. The set that I bought go from 4.5 to 70 lbs for each bar! That’s pretty incredible. I have a whole rack of individual weights that only go up to 30 lbs and in far less increments than these do. It takes up so much space that I think I may finally pare down my collection. My husband used to use bars with removable plates to get up to the weight he wanted. He was maxing out of space on his bars and the screw-type securing system was super tedious. We are both thrilled with these weights. I’m so glad I bought them.
