  • This is the one!
Style: Dishwasher
This replaced an old unit. I'm just a homeowner that's too cheap to pay someone else to do the install. But seriously, it went flawlessly. Advertised dimensions were correct. This is the quietest dishwasher I've ever (not) heard. I thought I heard it raining outside the kitchen window, and it wasn't till I saw the readout, that I figured out it was coming from the dishwasher. I like the rack layout for loading it. Stainless steel tub is nice, especially for this price. Filters are accessible and they work. And best of all, the dishes actually come out clean! No more having dishes come out dirtier than when they went in! I highly recommend this dishwasher. ... show more

  • My Favorite Appliance!
Style: Dishwasher
I had a very small area in which to have a dishwasher, so I took a chances on this one. Over the years, I've had several top named brands, but this little gem is the best. I'm amazed at the amount of dishes it can hold. Can't even hear it run. Everything comes out super clean, shiny and dry. Excellent buy. ... show more

  • Nice replacement for the small dishwasher we had
Style: Dishwasher
The pickings are slim for narrow dishwashers but this one has all the features we needed - so far I have done about a dozen loads and all has been great - nice product one negative though (that's why 4 star) the back label where it writes what each button does tends to get loose - I just push it in and it's fine but I am hoping it will eventually stick and not pop anymore - I could always put a drop of krazy glue I suppose - doesn't impact the actual mechanics which is truly what I mostly care about ... show more

  • Leaves Soap Film Behind
Style: Dishwasher
Update: Reducing my review to 1 star. My food has been tasting subpar for a few weeks. Wasn't really sure what was going on until this morning. I was frying up breakfast, and the grease started to foam like soap. I was confused at first, but then it clicked that it must be dishwasher soap. With that in mind, as I ate my breakfast, the weird taste I've been experiencing sure seemed to line up with what'd I'd expect dishwashing detergent to taste like. In my initial review I mentioned the washer left soap scum on dishes. This was a visible film. I messed with the settings until I found one that eliminated the film, but I guess there's still enough soap there to alter the taste of your food. I had very low expectations for this dishwasher to start, but I think it's only fair to reduce the rating to 1 star since this would make the dishwasher basically unusable to any normal consumer. Original Review: I have no strong opinion of this dishwasher. Like all dishwashers, it’s inferior to the cleaning capabilities of a human. The brief takeaway here is that this is a mediocre device that is not a substitute for having a human wash dishes by hand. My main purpose for this machine is to have a place I can quickly toss dirty dishes throughout the week to have the bulk of nastiness removed from them. Then at the end of the week when I have free time, I can come finish the job by hand (instead of having to deal with a nasty sink full of dirty dishes that accumulated during the week). I would prefer this thing just completely wash the dishes (especially for the price), but I was not expecting that when I purchased it. For more detail, read on. Comments below are more or less in order of my experience installing and running the dishwasher. Installation was easy and straightforward. (Though the instructions have a ridiculous statement that you must leave the adjustable feet screwed all the way in and then adjust after sliding the dishwasher into place, which is obviously impossible because there’s no way to access the back of an installed dishwasher.) The optional installation kit can be ordered separately for cheaper than the bundle. Though it is worth noting that it does not have everything you need. I had to run to the hardware store to buy a new branched drainpipe and a splitter for my cold water supply. The drain hose attached to this dishwasher is also stupidly short. I put the dishwasher directly next to my sink, and it was still too short to install correctly. Had to get a second drain hose to extend it. You will have to add a power cord yourself. It’s incredibly easy and is done with no power connected, but if you are afraid of doing electrical, you’ll need to ask for help. I will say I do not care for the layout inside the dishwasher. The silverware holder being in the center in the back is fairly annoying. I feel like the most commonly added item to a dishwasher mid-cycle is the stray fork that you accidentally missed when loading the first time. As such, silverware holders are generally on the door or at the front of the rack, but not here! With the silverware holder in the back, you can’t just pop the door slightly open and toss something in; you have to pull the door all the way down, slide the rack all the way out, and then you can add your missed fork. Mine also appears to be missing an adjustable part for the bottom rack that’s mentioned in the manual and the product photos. As others have noted, the heated dry doesn’t really do much. The unit also only uses cold water and heats it with an electric element. Seems pretty wasteful when I’ve already got hot water that I heated up much cheaper using gas, but whatever. The heating element did melt a drinking lid of mine that slipped partially down through the rack. I saw some reviews say this thing is very quiet (so quiet they can’t even hear it run). No idea what dishwasher they got, but it certainly wasn’t this one. It’s not “loud” by any means, but I definitely know when it’s running if I’m in the kitchen or any adjacent rooms (which, with the layout of my house, is every room). One annoyance I’m noticing is the dishwasher forgets your settings after every wash. Not a huge deal, but the temperature option I use is the last one in the list, so every time I run it, I have to press the temperature setting several times (and hope I don’t overshoot it and have to start over). The absence of a dial also makes me feel like I’m missing a lot of control. It’s semi-easy to unintentionally cancel a wash mid-cycle (the start and cancel button are the same button for some reason), and without a dial, you’re just screwed and have to start all over. The dishwasher also beeps maybe once or twice a minute if you have paused a cycle to ensure you don’t walk away without restarting the wash. I find this annoying, but can see how people would think it’s handy. Cycle ends with EIGHT shrill beeps. Not sure what possessed them to make it beep for so long, but somewhere between one and three really would have sufficed. The top rack isn’t really that usable for any solid items. There are only two sprayers in this dishwasher: one at the bottom and one in the middle (mounted to the bottom of the top rack). There is no sprayer at the top. As a result, anything loaded into the top rack won’t really get its top side cleaned (first load I did, some spaghetti sauce got blasted from a plate in the bottom rack up on top of an item in the top rack, and then hung out there the entire rest of the cycle). And lastly, about half the dishes consistently end up with soap scum on them at the end of the cycle, even when using the “heavy duty” program that fills and drains the dishwasher several times with fresh batches of water. This fact alone would probably be a deal-breaker for most people since it completely defeats the implied purpose of a dishwasher (that implied purpose being that it washes dishes). But since I didn’t expect this thing to clean dishes, it still fills my purpose. Appearance wise, this thing has a cheapium appearance. That is to say it’s an item you can tell is cheap, but that also puts some effort into trying to look premium. Looks like a real designer was tasked with making something that looked good on a budget, and I’d say they succeeded (as best they possibly could). As an added note, this is not the same shade of white as the white paint in my kitchen. I painted everything with pure white paint (no off-white, no eggshell, no ultra-light grey, just white straight from the store with no color added). This unit has a slightly greyer appearance than that paint (though definitely looks white when it's viewed alone). I'm sure this is as close as it gets, but I figured it's worth noting. Also, this is not a “smart” dishwasher in the respect that it does silly wi-fi things. It’s “smart” because it has some auto-sensing thing to adjust wash time or some nonsense. Seems like intentionally misleading advertising (which was my expectation at the time of purchase given the price). ... show more
