This was the exact part that I needed to replace in order to fix my vertical blinds. It was a direct replacement for the part that failed. I docked a star because when I received the new part the chain was not in place over the gear, and needed to be put into place (with some difficulty). Fixed a broken swivel problem. If the length and height matches, it should work to give some extra life to an old vertical blind. No need to restring.

Follow-up & Revised Review: Product arrived with the chain off the gear on one side and jammed. Once I aligned the chain it continued to hang up and was difficult to operate. I contacted manufacturer - Spring Window Fashions - and they couldn't have been more helpful. They are sending out a new unit plus the alternate model.
