This is a really nice box spring. I needed a lower profile one for my daughter’s room and this one is perfect. I got the 4.5 inch. It’s VERY easy to put together. I would recommend using an impact drill or power screwdriver just to make the job go faster. I used my dewalt impact drill and the screws went in smooth as butter. You could also use a regular handheld screwdriver and get it done with no issues as well. It took me and my friend about 15-20 min to put together but I could have done it by myself. It comes in a SUPER long box so just be prepared to receive it that way. You can’t fold wood so I get it. The only difficult thing I found was just getting the parts out of the lengthy box. After that, easy peasy lemon squeezy. I read other reviews saying the wood didn’t align with the screw holes. I didn’t find that to be a problem at all. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more

Very easy to put together. Took 2 people maybe 30 minutes. Heavy while still in box so may take 2 people to move. Came with a drawstring slip on cover. Seems sturdy so far and much cheaper than buying a box spring from a mattress store.

First box came with cracked side rail piece, wrong color cover and missing screws. Second box was better, however, it’s only been a week and 2 of the slats already broke and I had to return the first one so now I have no replacement pieces. Can’t believe it only lasted a week. Now I have to spend money on a whole new replacement for my daughters bedroom. Can’t get refund unless I return but I can not justify buying a box for some broken wood and to find one to fit the longer sides, unrealistic. Had high hopes based on other reviews. Guess they got the better cuts of wood, lol. Oh well. Guess this time I’ll go with metal instead. ... show more

I read a TON of reviews on this one and others like it, and also compared to the black metal ones and decided on the wood instead. It was lighter, yet sturdier and easier to maneuver. I purchased a full size one and the one that is only 5 inches high to fit a very antique full size bed. I used my existing 1 x4 slats that extend across the side rails and this box spring fit like a glove and is solid. As with other reviews, the cover is a bit tedious to put on, but I did everything alone without issue really, from carrying it up my historic staircase, getting it out of the box, assemblage and insertion into the bed frame. The only issue I had was when I was inserting the threaded bolt screws into some of the holes as assembly. The manufacturer was not careful in making sure that when they shot the staples into some of the pre-assembled areas, that the angle of those staples were far enough away from the pre-drill holes for the bolt screws, so I had to get a screwdriver and with a hammer, insert the screwdriver and use the hammer on the end of the screwdriver to bend the staple end into the wood, so the bolt screw would clear the pre-drilled hole. For someone that does woodwork and rehabbing, this solution was easy for me, but for others, it might affect the number of stars given or be perceived as a bad purchase. It's an easy thing to remedy using my method. Having the low profile option was great as I was wanting to purchase a certain thickness of mattress and with vintage bed frames, they sit low to begin with so you can't have a total depth that is too thick and high for such a bed frame. This box spring worked perfectly to get me the end result of a 15" depth since I purchased a 10" thick mattress. So, yes, these things can give a myriad of review results across the board, but really the important thing to know is that wood is lighter and less cumbersome and dangerous to wood floors or knees or just in general. Assembly was super easy. All parts were present in the box and they even gave you a few extra bolt screws and screws for the slats. The only issue I have with the screws for the slats is that they are NOT wood screws as they should be, but they give you basic drywall screws which can easily snap off in wood. I had no problems, but I just want to note for the record that you get drywall screws instead of wood screws. Overall, happy with my purchase. ... show more

The full size box dimensions should be 75x54x5 inches according to the product description. I bought the box for exactly the reason that the width was 54 inch. The box I received was measured as 69x52.5x4.5 inches. I don't mind the 4.5" height, but the shortness in width made the box totally unuseful for my bed. I had a high hope but had to return the box right away. The quality of the wood seemed decent. The returning process was easy. UPS will come to my home to pick it up tomorrow, without charge. This was nice. Overall, I felt sorry for the wasted effort due to either incorrect product description or the incorrect producted shipped to me. ... show more

I'm not going to lie, when I first saw the box that had been shipped to us I started to freak out. I had to check the listing again to make sure it was the wooden box spring I had ordered, sure enough there was no mistake. I went to open the box and that is when I noticed that it comes disassembled with pre drilled holes in it. It comes with all the hardware needed and a fabric cover for the final assembled product. It took my 10 year old son and I about 20-30 minutes to get it fully assembled with the help of a power drill and the included Allen key/wrench. I definitely recommend this product. It has been a couple months and it has held up very well and the wood used is very sturdy! I will be buying from this seller in the future. ... show more
