Set name: Dough Blender & Biscuit Cutter
My initial review upon opening package (22 March 2026): First, the quality of the dough blender and biscuit cutters look excellent. The steel blades on the blender definitely appear to be heavy-duty with the ability to cut into cold butter or to mash potatoes. I mean, seriously, if these blades bend or warp, I will be genuinely surprised. I'll know for sure once I begin using the blender - which will likely result in an update. Next, everything is true to size; that is, the handle on the dough blender is really four inches across, the blades are 5 inches from end to end and span 1.5 inches wide, and the biscuit cutters are 1", 2", 3", and 3.5" in diameter. I want to warn people that, while the handle on the dough blender is comfortable for me, I have very small hands that span 3 inches across from forefinger to pinky. This allows a half inch of clearance on each side of the handle for easy blending without rubbing my hand against the metal edges of the blender. I might recommend getting a larger dough blender for larger hands, especially for the creative men who love to bake. Just keep in mind that the bigger the blender, the bigger the bowl must be for it to fit while blending/mashing. Shipping was fast. It arrived in less than 3 days from a few states away - and on a Sunday, no less! (Not sure if it matters, but I purchased a few other items with it, taking me over the $35 threshold to get free shipping.) The product itself arrived nicely packaged - not overdone with tons of hard plastic that require scissors to cut into, rather plastic sheaths (thin bags) protecting each cutter (the dough blender and each individual biscuit cutter), all neatly bundled together in a very small box that was roughly 5x5x2 inches big. And the entire package was shipped in a heavy-duty reusable paper "bag" with a shipping label that was easy to remove. I appreciate that. Update (5 April 2026): I seriously LOVE this dough blender! It cut through very cold (almost frozen) butter with no problem; it neatly and uniformly blends oil into the flour; it does such a great job that I barely have to knead the dough with my hands once everything is blended. I love that my hands are not nearly as messy after using this tool! The stainless steel blades are definitely holding up without any issue. I don't know how other people are experiencing a problem with the blades bending. My only guess is that they may be heavily leaning into it and putting too much of their own body weight on the blender rather than using the minimum force necessary to blend/cut as they press down. Dough shouldn't require much more than 20 lbs of pressure to blend, even when using cold butter, and these blades can definitely stand up to that and more. The only possible drawback I can see with the blender is that the handle might loosen and begin to "spin" if too much force is applied. But the simple solution is to rotate the handle 180 degrees so that the screw nut on the handle is facing the opposite direction in your hand and you are now tightening rather than loosening it as you blend the dough. The biscuit cutters work great, too, especially with the silicone edges that save your hand when pressing down, but I'm all about this dough blender, you guys! I would recommend it to anyone! At some point I plan to make butternut squash soup, mashed potatoes, egg salad, and guacamole using the dough blender to mash whatever it is I'm making. Once I do, I'll follow up with another update to let you know how the blender does with ingredients other than butter or oil and flour. Happy baking, y'all!

Set name: Bench Scraper & Bowl Scraper
My husband enjoys making bread and had problems when working with wetter doughs such as baguettes or rolls. They were extremely sticky and the combination of kneading plus repeatedly removing it from his fingers meant it often became overworked. The solution was a dough scraper. It allows for every last bit to be lifted from the counter, and if you oil the scraper very little dough sticks to it. The result was less effort, quicker kneading times, less mess and better bread! I chose this scraper over others because of the handle. Some cheaper versions are just flat with no handle at all, which would end up making your hand sore. Others had a handle made of simply rolling the material down. Better than nothing, but I know from having to clean up chewing gum-like dough that any that got caught in the roll would be nearly impossible to remove. So I went with this one which had an actual handle made of a different material than the blade. I wasn't looking for a bowl scraper, but that it came bonus with this implement was an unexpected gift. It is covered in silicone, making it flexible on the sides so you can really get every last bit out. The weight and volume conversions printed on it are handy to have. My husband mentioned that this bowl scraper has made removing sticky dough from his proving bowls to be less of a headache. I've certainly noticed that washing out the bowls afterwards is much, much easier compared to when they were dotted in glutinous clumps. I haven't used this dough scraper to cut anything other than dough or pastry yet, but the seller (Spring Chef) sent an email with a free usage guide and it suggests using it to cut fruits, nuts, anything reasonably soft. I appreciate that they made an effort to give me more ways to use their device, without my having to ask. Besides that, Spring Chef is a small company who welcomes us to write to them with questions, issues, suggestions, or feedback. I always like when a small company wants to ensure their buyers' happiness and invites opportunities to improve their products. The only tiny complaint I have with this dough scraper is that some dough does get caught in the seam between the blade and the handle. It's not very much as the space is so small. It's hard to remove (once again, due to the gummy consistency of dough) even with a brush, but this minor annoyance is not enough to reduce my rating from a perfect 5 stars. If you're serious about baking, whether you like making breads, pies, or pastries, I would definitely recommend this set! It will be a game-changer and you'll wonder how you ever baked without it.

This combo was a must have for me when making my own pie dough. It's made of thick stell so won't nend, break, or rust over time. Beautiful to look at and well made to last and works so well with all the dough. I make two crusts at a time and the dough is thick. The blender just cuts right through the dough to mix well for the perfect crust. The cutter came in handy to cut the dough in half so I had enough for each pie crust. The blender is easy to grip and will not slip in your hand. It's even big enough for my sons very large hands ( extra large glove size), yet small enough for my small hands as I wear a small to medium size. The quality is much better than my old one that I lost somewhere over the years. They clean up easily. I hand wash as there is no dishwasher here. This just might turn out to be an heirloom.

This is a sturdy little combo I bought primarily for the dough blender. I haven't used the cutter, but I do use the blender frequently and find it sturdy, effective and comfortable. The only downside, and it is a considerable one, is that the metal for the blending blades was not deburred after the tool was stamped. You can see the rough edges in the picture. Using this blender with a plastic bowl causes scratches and scoring; I haven't used it with ceramic or glass but I imagine it would scratch that as well. It's really a shame as the product is otherwise excellent, and a few passes with a file before packaging would've made the whole thing perfect. I would've given it 5 stars except for that. I recommend filing the edges yourself with a rasp or file before use, and you'll find yourself with a very effective dough blender.

I really like this "bench scrapper" tool. It is sturdy, sharp (enough for cutting tough veggies), and is well-constructed (the joint between the handle and the metal doesn't have any significant gap). I use this for cleaning off my counter after having dough stick to it. Much easier than trying to clean it using a wet cloth. I'm sorta pleased with the pastry cutting tool. It still bends when I use it with hard butter, but not as much as my old pastry cutter. I can bend it back. But I've decided to use it mostly with softer things that need to be cut. It is very comfortable for me to hold it in my hand, which is larger than many. I ordered the larger size. If I had just ordered the pastry cutter I would have given this a three-star or maybe a four-star rating, but I really like the heavy-duty bench scraper, so that earns the whole package a five-star rating.

I purchased four of these pastry scrapers to give as gifts to friends. I chose this product over others in the same category because it seemed like the scraper was sturdily made, had a ruler on the edge of the scraper, and included a bonus bowl scraper with handy measurement conversion charts on the front. My shipment was prompt and I was very impressed by the packaging of the products. I opened one of them and found the quality to be excellent. The pastry scraper is even heavier and sturdier than I had imagined, and the bowl scraper is of ample size and weight, as well. I also received a follow-up email message from the manufacturer who was concerned that my customer experience fully met my expectations and offering assistance if anything had gone wrong with my shipment and/or the products that I had received. He also offered a guarantee if anything ever went wrong with any of the scrapers. I think this product is well worth the price, is extremely functional, and seems like it would be an excellent addition to those go-to tools we all use in the kitchen. I couldn't be happier with my purchase of these scrapers and am thinking about keeping one of them for myself!
