At first glance, you might look at the price of this candle and say to yourself wow that’s way too expensive. But sometimes things are expensive because they are worth it and that is the case with this candle. First of all, it smells amazing, like you are walking through a field of lavender. It’s not overwhelming; it’s just wonderful. The box it comes in is beautiful and would present very well as a gift. Even the glass that the candle comes in appears to be high-quality. And because it’s a soy candle, it will burn smoothly and cleanly, and will last a long time. I burn a lot of candles in my home, and this one by far is my favorite. This candle smells great and the scent throws pretty well. It's supposed to be lemongrass bergamont and it kind of smells like that but honestly I think it smells like fruitloops hahaha. That's not a bad thing, but it's sweeter than I thought the combo should be. It comes in a nice box and the candle itself is in a nice black glass holder. It would make a nice gift, but at the current price point ($38) I think it's hard to justify. Definitely a 5 star product, but pricey. Pros: - Strong scent that throws well. The "Breathe" scent which I got is primarily Eucalyptus and Mint, which are a classic aromatherapy pairing. If you know you like those scents, this candle will not disappoint. Keeping the wick trimmed before each lighting, I've had no problem with soot. I'm also pleased that, at least based on the manufacturer's description, it is free of anything currently known to be harmful. The holder is attractive and I will likely hang onto it for tealights after the candle is finished. Some reviewers have complained about the lack of a lid, which I reflexively started to agree with - but then I realized that it's honestly better without one. Unless the candle is left for years it's not going to lose it's scent from being uncovered. And if you really want to snuff it instead of blowing it out, just grab something metal and set it over the top! First of all, this candle comes in a giftable box and the candle itself is beautiful as well. I would be quite happy to gift this candle to anyone. The candle is made of natural soy wax, which attributes to the cost for sure, but is a nice feature in a candle. This candle has burned for a long time in my home already and still hasn't made a dent. I got the eucalyptus spearmint, which happens to be my favorite smell combo, and this one is just amazing. The smell is perfectly as expected. Its strong and fills the room wonderfully. I am very pleased with this product all around, but the price of $38 is a bit steep for one candle. This is, hands down, the best smelling candle I have bought in ages. And I buy way too many candles. If only there was a way to photograph the amazing scent! It's very lavender forward in a bright, fresh way. The addition of the vanilla tapers the brightness of the fresh lavender fragrance to a calm and relaxing blend. I would slather this on my body at night time if they had this in a body cream. If you're familiar with the older version of Bath and Body Works Lavender and Vanilla Aromatherapy line, which I absolutely loved, this has a much more elevated scent to it. The lavender in this Sprig candle is more along the lines of true lavender essential oil, with the vanilla playing its part to provide a touch of creaminess to the brightness. I, like everyone else, adore scented candles. Even so, I'm often wary of picking up new ones, since often they're scented with fragrance allergens and made with impurities that aren't good for my air. Sprig's candles claim to be free of all of that. The fragrance is highly concentrated, and truly does smell like bergamot and lemongrass. The jar is reusable or recyclable, as is the packaging. I can't stress how wonderful it smells. Even with the great ingredients and the clean fragrance, $38 for an 8oz candle is more like double what I'd expect to pay for a candle. It claims a 50 hour of burn time. Soy wax is usually about 18 hours per 4 ounces, so that's more than the expected 36. I'll update this review once the candle is fully burned with the amount of time I got out of it. For now, I'm enjoying the scent that has fully permeated my 300 square foot office. ... show more
