    • My Go-To for Focused, Jitter-Free Energy — Been Using It for Years
I’ve been taking Sports Research L-Caffeine and L-Theanine for a couple of years now, and honestly, I don’t know how I managed my workday before finding this supplement. I work full-time in an office setting — lots of screens, constant emails, and the kind of mental fatigue that can really drag you down by mid-afternoon. I used drink a ton of energy drinks, but the spikes and crashes weren’t sustainable and made me feel wirey in a way that wasn't good long term. This supplement has completely changed that for me. Clean, calm energy is really the best way to describe it. Each capsule gives me a smooth, steady lift in energy and alertness, without any of the jittery or anxious side effects I’ve gotten from energy drinks. It kicks in gently, I'd say, after about 20 to 30 minutes and helps me stay sharp and productive for hours. There's no hard crash — just a natural taper back to baseline. What keeps me coming back to this product is how noticeably it improves my focus. Whether I’m diving into a spreadsheet, writing reports, or sitting through long meetings, I feel more dialed-in and mentally clear. Answers (most of the time right ones, ha!) come easy. It doesn’t feel like an artificial boost — just a better-functioning version of myself. The capsules are also incredibly easy to take. I do like the product, I am able to focus and get things done especially working nights. However I am still trying to figure out what time to take it, because it takes a good 1-2hours to really take effect and then from there I am up way too much. For example today I took it in the morning and it’s 2:35am now and I’m still wide awake. I need something to counter it and taper me back down to be able to sleep on my days off. So now I’m gonna have to take one in a few hours so I can stay awake through out the day for appts. Other than that no other problems with this. No jitters, no heart reactions, no dizzy, no nausea. First time ever taking anything like this to replace coffee. I’ve never tried energy drinks either. I just need to figure out what time to take. ... show more

I need my caffeine. Highly recommend for students/bar exam takers/attorneys. I bought this as a supplement for my coffee for the bar exam (and also used it during studying for the bar). I knew that I did not need any extra diuretic properties from coffee during the exam. This had less caffeine than my typical coffee, yet it made me more alert and able to focus than coffee. I assume it's a result of the L-Theanine. Seems to be high quality--friends who also had caffeine pills with twice as much caffeine reported that they felt more alert with this. Zero taste or smell, and relatively easy to swallow -- it is a relatively large soft gel. Now I keep them on hand for when I have to skip coffee for whatever reason or need an extra boost to get past the afternoon slump. ... show more

    • Doesn't do anything to me. I feel it is simply being digested and ineffective.
I really wanted to like this product from this brand, but it simply doesn't do anything. I don't feel any different. It was a waste of money for me. However, the brand Zhou's Energy + Focus Pills has been absolutely awesome. I feel the clarity, focus and gentle energy rise without any caffeine jitters with pills from Zhou. ... show more
