It arrived quickly. And it's exactly as everyone said: Easy to install, solid & strong, nice-looking, provides better sound distribution and seems to pick up my voice commands easier in this upright position. One adjustment you might want to make as a user: After you install it, you are probably looking at it "upside down" so the volume controls/LEDs appear reversed (backwards). To fix this, do this: Open the Google Home app, find the device you have mounted on the stand, click on the Device Settings (little sprocket), scoll down to "Reverse Device Controls" and toggle the button. Then exit the app and then, Voila! Your controls/LEDs are now reversed and all's right with the world. ... show more

This is a GREAT stand in terms of visibility. I have it on my desk on the opposite corner of my bed. When I make a request from the G Home Mini, I can't see so well if it is just processing a long time or if it stopped listening to me. With this, I can easily see if it's listening while presenting the device in a great way. This is a great mounting option for the mini in homes where the wall mount or outlet mounts don't work. It is made of plastic but the build quality feels solid. Because it is so lightweight, I was initially sceptic if it would tip over because of the weight of the mini, but the angle at which the mini rests on the stand makes it so that it won't tip over easily. My only issue is with the way the cable has to be pressed into the slots in the back of the stand. Those slots should be wider. I was afraid of damaging the cable which putting it in the slot. Also, the controls on the mini are reversed because of the way it is mounted on. ... show more

Is exactly what it states it is. Its a little plastic pedestal with a rubber base that holds our Google Home Mini's. The Google Home mini fits perfectly in the holder of the pedestal and actually looks nice. Dark color, pretty much matches everything. Sturdy plastic. I expect it to last forever. Will order more if I ever need more and would recommend them. I didnt notice much difference in sound quality which is one of the things the description mentions but just by looking at it, you can presume that there probably is a difference. It raises it off the ground and points the speaker directly to you if thats what you want so I would say thats still a valid claim. Good product, processed and delivered within 2 days with Prime. It seems pretty well made. Arrived promptly. The slot to access the mute button isn't placed perfectly, but it gets the job done if I grab hold of the speaker firmly with the other hand. It will do what I want it to do, but it looks and feels like a $5 to $7 item, instead of $11.

The pedestal works as described. You just have to remember that the unit is upside-down in the pedestal. This is important if you ever adjust the volume of your Home Mini by touching the side of the unit. The volume will go up when you're trying to adjust it down. It is quite stable, even when bumped; it tends to not fall over. Perhaps its Grandparents were Weebles! The speaker's sound is improved (more spacial) and it seems to "hear" better. The cable management technique is effective, and it looks good in our living room setup.
