I am comparing the SAIJI gooseneck phone holder, 38.6" with "leather" wrapped arm and 360 adjustable clamp clip (black) $15.99 VS the Lamicall Phone Holder Gooseneck Mount (white) $19.99. Overall, I prefer the cheaper Saiji 38.6" with 360 degree adjustable clamp. It is longer and it gives a little more leeway and height for filming things on my table. The "leather" wrapping does feel nicer while maneuvering the gooseneck. The table clamp is easier to tighten and loosen. The 360 degree clamp clip allows for easier movement when trying to get the phone angle just right for recording. The Lamicall Phone Holder Gooseneck Mount in white is slightly more expensive, but not much more. There are design features on the ends of the gooseneck that make the gooseneck less adjustable, almost like a sheath or sleeve that prevents movement. The table vise grip doesn't slide as easily and I have to use my hands to slide it open more, and the twisting mechanism to tighten the table grip isn't as easy to turn as compared to the SAIJI. The phone clamp clip does not rotate 360 like the SAIJI. Also the Lamicall gooseneck cable section is less flexible and also shorter than the SAIJI. The only thing that the Lamicall gooseneck has going for it is the white color. Both are very sturdy and are fairly lightweight although pretty durable and hold their shape really well. ... show more

I purchased the SAIJI Gooseneck Bed Phone Holder. I like it. I find it to be sturdy, flexible, mountable, and practical. I find it easy to install and remove. This does involve some twisting motion to secure it to the desired surface and opening the clamp to position and secure the phone in place. In addition, some manipulation is needed to position it to the desired height and angle. I have it gripping a metal wire shelving unit pole. It grips and holds well. The rubber part that is attached to the inside of the clamp that holds the phone in place is helpful. I have a Samsung Android Galaxy Plus phone, and the Saiji phone holder secures it well within the clamp. I like the quality for the price. It serves the purpose that I purchased it for. I got this to attach to my headboard to read or use my phone in bed without aggravating my hands, but it doesn't work well. First of all, the base clamp world work a lot better if it were running straight down the arm rather than being perpendicular. It has a cuff around the bottom, so it ends up wasting about five inches of the arm length trying to angle it back up to arc over my head, and protrudes from the headboard so I can't leave it there permanently or I would bonk my head on it. There is a rubbery layer in between the clamp pieces, but it doesn't extend to protect around the edges, so I still ended up scratching the wood when I was testing out placement. The phone end of the clamp works pretty well at least, easy to place the phone or release, and it doesn't slip. That being said, imagine holding out a yardstick out from your arm, and how the end wavers extra when your arm gets tired, and that's how the solid piece of the arm behaves. It adjusts ok and stays in place, but if you wiggle the surface it's clamped to, or try to perform actions on the phone, it rather constantly bounces a little, amplified from the clamped end by distance. It does seem sturdy and well made overall, so if it were attached to a very stable object and you were just reading or watching something without touching the phone it would be fine. I think one with interlocking pieces for the arm would be more stable than this one solid piece style. ... show more
