Solid performance and great price
Overall, I'd say this is a great product that is cheaper than the competition I have seen. While I can't compare its performance to others, as I'm no bike phone mount collector, I can say this one does its job well, holding the phone securely while you ride. The product comes in a small box disassembled, but assembly is straightforward with instructions on the side and in the box. Get the clamp, put the silicone holder of your choice behind it, attach to base, and screw the two halves of the base together around your handlebar. Place your phone in the clamp and the silicone band around the corners, and you're ready to ride. I can't speak to the durability of the product since I've only taken it for a few rides, but my main concern would be the silicone band. However, since the product comes with three, I consider this more or less a non-issue. When riding, my phone stays in place. I have not been mountain bike riding with it or anything, but while riding around on the road or sidewalk in the city, dropping off curbs, and even walking the bike down stairs, my phone has stayed in the mount. My only issue with it is during those rougher terrain activities, the clamp or the base may shift. The clamp is on a ball joint, so this movement is a design feature, but it turns out to be somewhat of a double-edged sword. Shifting it back is simple, and the base movement around the handlebar may be due to my own hesitancy to tighten it too much. The ball joint is certainly not user error, though, and while not a big issue and is easily corrected once you get to smoother terrain, it is why I've given a 4/5 in stability. (Consider it a 4.5 or so, though.) One personal issue I've had is with my phone and the mount. I have the Google Pixel 2, a phone that has volume and a power button on the sides along with a squeeze-to-activate Google Assistant. As the clamp of the mount squeezes the phone securely, sometimes my volume or Google Assistant buttons can be activated. The Google Assistant is easily deactivated, but it can be slightly bothersome as you put the phone in the mount and different buttons are pressed. This is likely a tiny issue with the Pixel brand and this mount, but it only occurs as the phone is placed in the clamp or when it is slid within the clamp (which, thanks to the grips, can only happen with human intervention). I have also contacted with the company in response to a voucher which came in my product box, and I found it to be a pleasant interaction with quick responses. Overall, the bike mount is a great product that seems flexible enough to work with most or all phones and does its job well. Though I am not without my concerns and the bike mount does have some minor issues, the price, flexibility, and overall performance make it well worth the purchase, in my opinion. ... show more

Happy with this unit
I have only had this phone mount for a couple of days so far, but it has performed as expected. My first criteria is that my phone fits in it. Phones just keep getting bigger every year and "outgrow" previous mounts. The last mount I had (similar design to this one) seemed to have adequate room for "growth", but even though my phone (Moto Z3 Play) fit in the unit, it really stretched the rubber holders that held the corners of the phone. This was likely the downfall of my last mount as it was the rubber piece that broke. Plus, it never really held the phone securely anyway as occasionally one of the flaps would come undone. This unit improves on the design slightly. First, it's a big larger, so the rubber straps comfortably grip the corners of the phone. Second, the straps are flatter, which also helps the straps sit better on the phone.. I have more confidence that it will hold better. And third, it comes with 3 straps (probably so you can select the color you prefer), but I see these as spare straps in case the strap I'm using does eventually break. This is the best feature of this unit in my opinion! If there is something I'm a bit disappointed in it's the spring loaded side arms. My last unit had a release button which released the spring tension allowing easier insertion and removal of the phone. However, that part also broke on my last unit, so hopefully this unit will be more reliable thanks to its simpler design. It's not a huge deal, but for me anyway, it's a two handed process. It definitely feels very secure though. Installation was very simple, and on a ride yesterday the unit was very stable. They have torn up a street along my ride which makes for a very rough ride, but the mount kept my phone in a very solid orientation the whole time. I think this mount is a great value for the money. Works better than I thought it would and 3 month review
I deliver for Doordash on my bicycle sometimes for side work so decided I should get a phone holder for my bike. This one got the best reviews and seemed OK. I received it and tried it out and it was actually super easy to use and very secure. I went over quite a few potholes on accident and over a couple of curbs and my phone didn't budge once. The only gripe I have is that with my case on, it does not fit in the holder, but not a huge deal. I have a Droid Maxx 2 and without the case, it fits great! Lots of adjustments. Of course I have only used it a few times so far in fair weather so no long term opinions yet. Seems durable enough. I say for the price, give it a go! 3 month review: Still going strong. I use it maybe only 8 hours per week on fairly rough terrain. The first silicone phone holder webbing is still fully in tact and I have never thought my phone was going to dislodge from the holder yet. The swivel got loose one day a little more than I like, but then it went back to normal so I am not sure what that was about. Anyways, still recommend it! Still only 4 stars though since I would feel much better if it could hold my phone while it is in its protective case. ... show more

I'm STILL a big fan of this phone holder! (after 1.5 years in use)
I have broken 3 different phone mounts, all of which were from reputable manufacturers like Bontrager. This one was cheaper, about the same mass, fit properly on my Trek Domane 4.1 handlebars, and is able to put up with the crazily bumpy roads here in the Detroit area. Would like to get a 2nd one for my hybrid bike, but the darned things are out of stock. Only improvement I could suggest is the nut that tightens the phone holder at specific angles seems to be incapable of tightening enough to keep the phone aimed at my face while riding on the aforementioned rough roads. On smooth roads, it works flawlessly and holds my Samsung S-5 phone quite well - all at a price that is about 1/3 of the average prices of the 3 name-brand ones that snapped off of my bike during normal road use. UPDATE: I've now had the first mount for 1.5 years and over 2,000 miles on the road bike. It works as well as it ever did with my Samsung S-5, and I'm still using the original black stretchy band that holds the four corners of my phone. I have not had the phone fall off the bike once in that entire time, but I have had my bike rims straightened several times due to nasty bumps in the road. I never bought the 2nd one because I quit riding my hybrid bike due to liking the road bike so much. I just bought another phone holder for my wife's Townie bike, and it fits well on her thinner handlebars, too. I plan to also get one for my fat tire bike, which should really test out the phone holder's durability. Will report on that at some time in the future. ... show more

feels and looks legit; secures well
Well first off this thing can stretch which is nice- it fits my galaxy note8 with it's defender pro case. Because the width and depth of the case approaches the max limits that can fit in the mount, I was worried that the clamp might force the phone out because it is stretched as far as it will go. And it does, UNTIL i put the silicone band around the corners of the phone. Once my phone with its case is inside the clamp and the silicone band is around all four corners of my phone, it fits perfect and my phone is not moving or shifting anywhere. I'm not a hardcore trail rider, either, so I figured shaking it myself while in the mount would be more intense than my rides, and same thing- the phone did not budge. overall, great product. it accomplishes exactly what it says it does, and it does that very well. providing three silicone bands is also a plus. I tested the limits by putting my phone in an MPOW waterproof bag just to see if it work on those rainy days that I still want to go for a ride, and it with no shaking of the phone in the MPOW in the mount- the phone did not move. once I started shaking the phone the clamp forced the phone out of its hold- I must have reached/surpassed the max width limit for the clamp to securely hold. I just wish there were more mounts for larger phones that will fit the phone in a larger case to avoid the guessing I had to do about which mount would work. there are mounts for ipads that are too large and mounts for smaller phones not in a case that are too small. Ok mount, but it moves around a lot when going over bumps
When going over smooth pavement, the mount seems to relatively stay in place. However, when going over even minor bumps, such as on sidewalks, the mount moves around. The main issue I believe, is that the rubber padding which sits between the handlebars and the inside of the mount, slides around while riding. When that moves out of place, it allows the mount itself to slide out of position when hitting bumps. I've tried multiple times to adjust the padding back into place, and adjust the mount into different positions. However, the rubber does not really secure well around the mount and always manages to slide around. Ultimately it becomes pretty annoying because I'm frequently repositioning the mount while riding. Again, when on smooth pavement, it's not so bad. But sidewalks, dirt/gravel trails, or even paved streets which have potholes compromise the stability quite a bit. I will say the customer service seems very nice. Also upon receiving the initial product, inside the box was a voucher code which I could email to the manufacturer and they sent me a 2nd mount for free. I'm not sure if that comes in every box, but it was a nice bonus. Still I would just prefer for better stability overall. ... show more

Very practical!
I did not know, which out of the many available phone mounts to pick. My phone has a high retail value, as most smart phones do. I was not sure, if I could entrust it to a phone mount. And if I did, it would have to be safe and sturdy to protect the phone from falling. After I installed this phone mount I was pleasantly surprised. The mount is sturdy, it sits securely on the handle bar. The phone straps into the mount with just a few moves, it is easy to do and does not take a long time. Once the phone is strapped in, it seems very safe. I have used mine now for 6 weeks, riding my bike almost daily, and there have not been any times, where I had to fear for my phone. When the phone is mounted the viewing angle can be adjusted easily, and the screen can be operated while it is strapped in. I have driven over bumpy roads and unpaved park trails, the phone did not budge. The mount held it securely through it all. For me that is all I am asking for, and more than I hoped for. I was happy with it and purchased one for my husband, too! ... show more

I love this!
I have had this for over a year. Super quick and easy to install. Holds my phone securely and fits all the sizes of phones I have had. It can fit several sizes of handlebars it comes with two sets of screws one set long and one set shorter. The silicone stands up well to stretching, use and weather. I really like that I can choose how I want this to display my phone. I can turn my phone sideways or up and down or any version of tilted. I've used it in multiple angles depending on where I was writing and what I needed to do. There is very little to vibration especially when you consider it's mounted on the front handlebars of a bicycle. And I can read my exercise tracking software as well as text messages from work that ask me to come back. I pretend I don't see those though, haha. But seriously, my husband saw how well it worked and asked me to get one for him. I got a new bike and am sending my old bike to my son in law and I have been asked to send the holder with the bike so he can use his phone for GPS as he commutes. Looks like I'm buying a few more of these. :) ... show more
