This coco coir works as expected but it is expensive for the amount you get, a better price can usually be found in pet stores. That being said it is easy to use and holds water well. It does make a mess when opening and it does have a strong stink when first hydrated.

It is nice. Hard to break up, soak first and then it expands so if I don't use all at one it is easier to break off since it expanded even though there wasn't water in it since it dried up

I git this to start my vermicompost bin and it's the perfect material for that. The worms love it and it inflated to a good amount after you wet it.
