After being fed some well cooked steaks out of a sous vide I needed to order one. I opted for this one because it has Bluetooth. The ability to be upstairs and monitor my temperature is a huge plus! The machine is responsive and very easy to use. I double checked the temperature and it was within 1-2 degrees. I highly recommend ensuring your temperature matches another thermometer before cooking to be safe! The Sous Vide works well for me. I purchased it mainly to pasteurize wine outside the kitchen, and it heats the water well and maintains it at that temperature until the timer is done. Sous Vide is a great way to cook meats at a constant temperature over large periods of time, which leads to a really even cook. Meats wont dry out. Seasoning and herbs can be added right into the bag too. Plus you can use the machine with a variety of water reservoirs (I use with my Staub pots mostly). I like that the controls are built right into the device (I also have the Joule sous vide machine - while it does more accurately keep the temp, it requires an app + connectivity to work). Easy to use, hardest part is figuring out WHAT exactly I want to cook! Once I decide that, it’s so easy to set it and almost forget it. Won’t over on your food cause it’ll keep it at whatever temp you set it for. Great help with freezer meal prep too.
