If you're unsure about this adjustable base, don't think about it and just BUY it! I've done all the research for you and can say that this is the best adjustable base on Amazon. Incredible adjustable base. Much cheaper than going to the store while retaining all the qualities of well known brands that sell it for 3-5x more. Not only that, it has all the bells and whistles most adjustable bases don't have. Others simply can only raise and lower the head and feet, but this adjustable base has a USB charging port to plug in your charger for your phone or tablet and there's a little pocket on the side of it to leave your remote in so you won't forget about it (you NEED to make it a habit to leave it there otherwise you'll lose it). The massage is a nice vibration and is soothing to have on. It's timed so it doesn't stay on all night and burn out. The underbed light feature is convenient for getting up at night and sometimes I'll use it as a nightlight. It's very subtle, but definitely better than tripping in the pitch black dark. I really like the zero clearance feature as I can use it on my slats without the legs, but I did start using this at the beginning with the legs. The legs come in 12" total, but you can remove 1 or 2 of the 3" extensions to make it either 6" or 9" if you don't want the full 12" height. Also, free returns as it looks like it's shipped and sold by Amazon. I've seen the reviews of other brands saying they tried to charge the customer over $300 just to return an item they didn't like or was defective!! It was impossible to find a king size that was shipped and sold by Amazon besides Irvine Home Collection's king adjustable base. PRO TIP: If you are struggling with the weight, as I see in the reviews, I highly recommend separating the base in two. There are two bolts on both sides that can easily be removed so you can effectively reduce the weight in half. The King size is close to 200 lbs so you definitely will want to do that if you don't have the manpower or moving hand truck to do so. Lastly, their customer service is AMAZING. They reassured me about the warranty, and told me they will handle any inquiries that I may have. My biggest concern was the parts as I know eventually these may fail, but they told me they stock all parts and even when the warranty is out, they told me the parts are really cheap. Many other adjustable base brands don't even stock the parts from my research, so at least you can rest easy knowing you can just contact them during and even after warranty to get the parts. It was tricky finding them at first to call as the box didn't say Irvine Home Collection, but a quick search of the name on the box lead me to the parent company.

First off this bed requires special delivery and for someone to be home to accept it. It's basically a Furnishing delivery box truck that will arrive. The Box was in good shape with no holes or tears but extremely dirty it being drug around from Warehouse to Warehouse. I would recommend making sure to have it set on plastic or in an area that would not get damaged like a carpet or a rug. Once the box is removed the bed is in a plastic bag. This adjustable frame is very heavy. I would estimate it to be approximately 130 to 180 lb. I was not able to lift it by myself. I had to use a makeshift slide to push it up my stairs to get on the second floor and then lay some cardboard across my bed rail as I slid it up on top and laid it on top of the mattress slats. That was something I did read about this unit and was pleasantly happy that it actually works with just laying directly on the slats. It makes them mattress about another 3 inches higher off the ground but it works well. I would recommend doing something similar like I did which was Place some screw strategically around the frame to prevent it from sliding back and forth on the slats during use. The massage vibration is fairly strong of course it's dampened with the mattress. I have a foam Style mattress that was a bed in a bag. When the bed is adjusted and nobody's on it mattress lifts as it arches. But it lays in place properly when you add the body's weight. Everything's working great and just need to learn how to set up the memories on the remote. The only negative I would say about having this which it's not this model just so you understand as the bed raises your back it brings you quite a ways away from your nightstand. A minor convenience but it takes away your ability to reach across for anything on your nightstand. So far so good I would recommend but make sure you have two strong people to be able to place it.

We like this adjustable base. It is very heavy and big but easy to set up if you have help. Goes up and down smoothly. The light and vibrate functions work. This is our first adjustable base, wife loved it right away and says her back doesn't hurt anymore but it might take me longer to get use to it or find the right position that works for both of us all night long.

bed base came within a week shipping company was poor was out for delivery for 1 1/2 days then did a dump and run didn't even ring doorbell just left leaning on garage door box was damaged but bed frame wasn't damaged california king was 187 lbs but other than weight was easy to install
