I’ve been running a 6” hydrofarm in-line fan for years. But it only had a speed control that I used in conjunction with a timer. This is spider farmer is light years beyond it! Its probe gives me all the information I need and the control panel is easy to use and see. The instructions are adequate but can be a bit confusing at first due to being able to set so many modes. It can do more than what I require right now but gives me room for growth. Light weight and easy to install. Has two channels out so I imagine you can run another fan if needed. Quiet and works perfectly!!! Highly recommend!

This purchase was to replace my 4" fan since I bought higher wattage lights. To combat the higher heat output of stronger light, this 6" fan does the trick. Very sturdy, easy to install. It really works, once you set it up, just let it do it's thing. Affordable and really works.

We have been using this fan to exhaust our grow tent and it is powerful… it arrived well packaged in a box with the sensor unit and monitoring screen in a separate box within the package. It came with instructions and recommended variations as to how one could set it up in a grow tent as there are several possibilities though with the easy setup one could get the job done. We wanted this particular fan because of the smart features and control it allowed us to have to boost our grow to the next level. We feel like this is a next level fan in general as it has had the power to exhaust even larger grow tents than other fans/tents we have used. Back to the fan lol… the reason why we are a fan of this fan is it has literally allowed us more time to work on the plants without having to worry as much about the environment as it has ten different speeds which automatically change to adjust the environment of our grow room, and to our specifications maintaining a healthy environment with on point humidity/temperature levels. We placed the sensor in with the ladies (plants) and tested it with our hygrometer, seeing it was on point and the way it was delicately packed with a thick clear plastic protective film over the sensor, was overall satisfied with that aspect and in general. We connected it to ducting and a carbon filter as it has the power to scrub the air clean through our exhaust system, and am pleased to say it is extremely quiet for a such a powerful fan… compared to other exhaust fans was worth it because we have had more time to do other things in the garden which require more attention as it allowed us to have a hands free monitoring system for not a bad price. It has pulled its weight in value as you can see ;)

Okay so I needed a inline fan for a grow tent in my closet and it has too be quiet so that I can sleep at night. This inline fan is awesome you can control the speed and on low speeds its pretty quiet on high settings it moves alot of air but gets louder. I am actually stunned at how low noise is on low settings.

I have to say I really like spider farmers products I have the tent the lights the fans so when I wanted to upgrade my grow I went with them again for everything. After placing my order my 4 inch fan started acting up. I received my new set up with a 6inch fan and everything worked for three days then the fan stopped working I contacted them and explained everything even about how the 4 inch fan works but if the plug gets moved around for the speed control it starts to ramp up and down. I didn’t expect them to care because the warranty had run out seeing it was over a year old they asked me to take a video of the two fans having the problems and they would see how they would fix it. All this took place within two days I sent them the video and they answered back all most instantly that they would replace the 6 inch fan but that the 4 inch fan was past the warranty that they would be willing to send me a new one if I paid the shipping! I thought that was great so now I have two of the 4 inch fans and a new 6 that has been working great since I received it. Thanks again. The suction is amazing and the sound is very quiet on the six inch the 4 inch is a lot louder. As far as the temperature controller I don’t have a heater hooked up to it but the read out and controls work great I would highly recommend spider farmer products!

Recently upgraded my cooling for my home theater electronics. This unit moves a significant amount of air and is variable speed so you can adjust airflow to suit you needs. Noise level is low as I have it in an adjoining utility room. Installed for a few weeks now and running great.

The 4 inch and 6 inch in line fans with a smart controller Both have a serious issue, as long as your humidity and temperature stays within the triggers. That you have set for it. You're fan will never come on. Therefore, if you have the correct humidity and the correct temperature even if it's ideal in your tent, you're fan will never come on if you're in the automatic mode, so you will not have any circulation. It seems like they should have put at least a minimum circulation in there. I'm not the smartest gardner but from what I know You always need intake and exhaust so you can an exchange of air in you're Grow tent, you have to leave the controller in manual to keep the fans running, so the automatic feature is useless.
