Garbage straight garbage. I contacted Spider Farmer they sent me a diagram of how to hook it up. I tried it three different times the exact same way they showed me how on both diagrams to no avail. I searched the web. There are different ways that shows to hook it up. I tried every single way to no avail. This thing is complete garbage I have a grow tint that was ready to go and now I cannot use the fan or controller. I have to use everything manually. Itโ€™s like as if I did not buy anything in the first place, waste of my money. Now I need to return this crap and buy a different company because this is not working for me. Spent all this time building this tent just for it not to work. ... show more

I have been using the 4 inch smart controller fan for extraction in a 2.3x2.3x61 grow tent. I really enjoy having it automated for when temperature or humidity gets too high. Was easy to install. It is reading very accurately, and has been preforming excellent. Would highly recommend for a quality, easy to use inline fan for environment control. The fan is great as well as the controller. The only downside to the controller is that is not very customizable. If you want things to turn on and off according to temp, wc, etc. you only have the option for 1 preset setting already set in the device. Ex: if I want my heater to come on, the only option I have is to have it come on at 70 and stop at 75 there no option to change this that I see. Thatโ€™s the only reason I would not give it a 5 star rating. Otherwise everything works great!! ... show more

We have been using this fan to exhaust our grow tent and it is powerfulโ€ฆ it arrived well packaged in a box with the sensor unit and monitoring screen in a separate box within the package. It came with instructions and recommended variations as to how one could set it up in a grow tent as there are several possibilities though with the easy setup one could get the job done. We wanted this particular fan because of the smart features and control it allowed us to have to boost our grow to the next level. We feel like this is a next level fan in general as it has had the power to exhaust even larger grow tents than other fans/tents we have used. Back to the fan lolโ€ฆ the reason why we are a fan of this fan is it has literally allowed us more time to work on the plants without having to worry as much about the environment as it has ten different speeds which automatically change to adjust the environment of our grow room, and to our specifications maintaining a healthy environment with on point humidity/temperature levels. We placed the sensor in with the ladies (plants) and tested it with our hygrometer, seeing it was on point and the way it was delicately packed with a thick clear plastic protective film over the sensor, was overall satisfied with that aspect and in general. We connected it to ducting and a carbon filter as it has the power to scrub the air clean through our exhaust system, and am pleased to say it is extremely quiet for a such a powerful fanโ€ฆ compared to other exhaust fans was worth it because we have had more time to do other things in the garden which require more attention as it allowed us to have a hands free monitoring system for not a bad price.
