    • Broke on first use
I was using this bit to cut out paddles from 1" poplar. On the second paddle the bit snapped off right at the collet. Upon further inspection, I believe I had too much bit sticking out from the collet which produced a stress point. Luckily there was still enough shank left to reintall the bit properly in the collet and it has been cutting fine for over 40 more paddles. The cut quality is good. I used 2 of these endmills to cut out one project. Both in which broke after the second pass. Put an older more dull bit on with same feeds and speeds and had no issues. Maybe they were a bad batch, but I won’t be rebuying these to replace my endmills

    • Snapped on first use.
First; it seemed to be a little under 1/4”, it took some torquing to tighten it into a DeWalt 1/4” collet. Once it was tight, it snapped at the collet the first time we used it. We were making an 1/8” deep pass with a circle cutting jig through white oak. Something we’ve done hundreds of times with another brand of bit, and never had a break before.     • Works great with my shop built mortising jig with 3/8" bushing.
