I like having the engine cradle and it will hopefully hold up over time. One of the back mounts was not straight and some of the bolt holes did not align just right. The front supports where that connect to the engine mount should have a metal brace welded in like the rear. The 4 bolts that mount the cross brace to the sides are too small (1/4") and I am not sure how well they will hold up. It could be a little better make with only a little effort. It is a shame that Speedway does not fine tune the cradle for better quality that would set them apart fro others.

Got this rolling engine cradle for a 1996 454 Chevy. Fits perfectly as long as you assemble it on the engine. Don't build the thing on the garage floor and expect an engine to drop right into it. Put the thing on the engine, all bolts kinda loose. Once you have both sides on the engine, put the cross brace in position. Then just go around and snug everything up ... SHAZAM!! ....all done, fits perfect! The only drawback is, stuff like this is waayyyyy over priced.

I wa a little worried because of the price, but I put it together easily, and when my engine was on it I easily rolled it around. It was just to move things around my shop and it worked great. All the wheels worked just fine I spritzed a little lubricant on them just to be safe, but they all worked fine, and once the bolts were tight the stand was plenty sturdy.

I am very happy with my purchase. I will be able to mount both my small block and big block Chevy engines. I will also be able to move the engine blocks out of the way when it is necessary.

Update, the seller responded right away, but my email threw it into spam. They are sending new casters, I've already redone the welds and have painted it, so returning it is out of the question. But it should hold up fine with the replacement casters. Garbage welds, garbage casters, and no customer service. I contacted the seller about the casters, they wouldn't even spin, not enough bearings in them. The welds are garbage, which wasn't a deal killer, because I have a welder, but with no response from the seller, the review will reflect this. The welds are so bad 2 of the pieces literally fell apart during assembly. I'm going to fix it and buy better casters, but it wasn't worth the money. I needed this so I have to fix it instead of sending it back. I would not recommend buying it.
