  • The best practice suit. Runs small..as it should.
Color: Speedo Black Size: 36
This suit lasts forever. Rinse it off with cold water and don’t ring it out to keep it running small. Don’t be deterred by the fact that there is no give. You want it to be hard to put on. The material seems more like woven cotton than a stretchy-tight spandex suit. It takes getting used to but it’s worth it for a suit that lasts this long. This is also a very modest cut, full coverage. Considering its longevity the price is more than reasonable. ... show more

  • Great suit for those with long torsos
Color: Speedo Navy Size: 36
I never write reviews, but I'm leaving this one to help with sizing. My height is between 5'7" and 5'8", weight fluctuates between 135-140 lbs, measurements are 35" bust, 27" waist, 40" hips with a long torso. I initially ordered this suit in a size 12 or 38, which is the size I wear in the swimsuit I was replacing (the Speedo Pro LT), but that size was too long in the torso and loose in the chest. The size 10 or 36, while a bit snug when dry, fits me much better in the pool without any gaping or bagging of the fabric. I swim laps 3x a week and I feel like this one is sturdy enough to last me for a while. ... show more

  • Exchanged for a larger size, LOVE the shape and durability
Color: Speedo Black Size: 34
Though I ordered a size up from my speedo chart measurements (size 2 - I ordered a 4), I actually had to exchange for another size bigger. I was expecting minimal stretch because of the chlorine-resistant material based on previous reviews, but I struggled TOO hard to fit into the 4. I'm glad I exchanged for the 6, it is perfect and really comfortable. I feel like less of a T-Rex getting in and out of this size. (The cutout back didn't help me navigate through the size 4 either. Arms kept getting caught in the wrong holes.) I love love love the cut. I am very particular about lines because my body is kind of soft, kind of straight, kind of curvy, kind of short. I could be thin-curvy-athletic if I (swam more), but I am currently... not. Like, very not. This swimsuit has a VERY flattering cut. The thin straps are placed a little closer to the neck than standard designs, which is SUPER FLATTERING. Thick & widely placed straps actually broaden already broad (and soft) shoulders. These are very streamlined and give me an athletic appearance. The high-ish sides are also a great plus. Nothing is hanging out uninvited. While the sides are slightly higher than the other speedo models I've seen, it is only just enough to elongate my (short) legs, and show a tiny peek of booty curve. NOT TOO MUCH. Just enough to make me feel "not elderly." I would recommend this more for the athletic or almost athletic body types (I may classify as 'chubby athletic'). I appreciate that it gives my body a more toned athletic appearance. I have smallish breasts, and I think it is better for modest chests. It accentuates the collar bone and trapezoids, elongates where it should, streamlines where it needs to most. Curvy bodies should accentuate their curves with more tailored cuts and textures; this non-stretch fabric may be too "square-peg." Also, I figured if I was going to pay $50 for a speedo ANYWAY, I might as well get the one with a longer-lasting crotch. I am terrified of bathing-suit crotch sag, especially in public pools around lifeguards and children. This is a seriously durable fabric. If it DOES give, it would take a while before reaching sag-status. I completely recommend. ... show more

  • Just the best practice suits out there. 5 star quality for such a great price.
Color: Black/Black Size: 30
If you're a competitive swimmer, or are looking to train in the pool a LOT (two or more times a week), this is the perfect suit. I bought my standard swimsuit size (P.S. sizing tip- I find the size most accurately represents the size of your ribcage. Aka, take the measurement along the widest part of your ribcage and that should be close to the size that you need) and it fit exactly as I expected it to. If you're unsure, err on the larger size, because the suit has little stretch to it. But it's SUPPOSED to be like that. I have bought these suits before. I had one last me for 5 (!) years of continual abuse. I'm talking 20 hours a week in the pool and it lasted for 5 YEARS! The next one I bought has so far lasted me 3 years. This is the latest one that I bought, and I'm mostly using it a meet suit, and a backup practice suit. The quality is so excellent for the price. Tips to make your suit last a really, really, really long time: * After you are done swimming, rinse your suit in cold water. DO NOT WASH IT unless you absolutely have to. NEVER PUT YOUR SUIT IN A WASHING MACHINE! Doing so will ruin your suit much faster. If you MUST wash, use gentle detergent and wash in cold water. And for Phelp's sake, DO NOT PUT IT IN A DRYER OMG WHYYYYYYY * Dry your suit after every practice. "Duh," you might say, but trust me, seasoned swimmers often leave suits in their bags due to laziness (or because we forgot as we were stuffing our faces/taking a nap/etc.). Make sure you hang it up someplace where it can get 100% dry. If you leave it wet for long periods of time, you get stuff called "dry mold", which is yes, literally mold, that looks like a white powder, but is difficult to remove from your suit. Drying is important to keeping yourself clean, and your suit lasting a long time. * Less important than the other two, but be gentle when putting your suit on and off. Yes, it will be tight at first, but that doesn't mean you should force it on, like the Hulk in reverse. Stretching out your suit will damage the fibers. Bottom line: This suit is superb quality, really the best practice suit you can buy. The fit is true to size, but tight. But if you are a seasoned competitor, it should not bother you (those who are less into tight suits should definitely size up!). Expect your suit to last you years! ... show more

  • Way too small
Color: Navy/Blue Size: 32
The suit I ordered was a size 32. I spent some time reviewing the size chart before purchasing and checked my previous speedo swim suit size which says '10/32', and which fits perfectly. I am 5'4", 54kg and the size 32 that arrived says on the label '6/32'. It is effectively a size 6 UK size and is way too small. Not sure what is going on with the sizes here, but completely inaccurate and inconsistent with Speedo sizing. If it did fit, I think that this would be a nice swim suit, well lined and nice colour, but a complete waste of money as it will never fit. ... show more
