Description

Papyros Kiln Shelf Paper is a ceramic-based paper specially formulated for glass fusing. It is ideal to for the majority of fusing projects up to 1600°F. Because of its sturdy composition, Papyros provides excellent glass/kiln shelf separation on the first use, and frequently in subsequent firing as well. Craft Roll measures 20-1/2" x 82'. Papyros tends to retain its paper-like qualities during firings, rather than decomposing into loose dust. The degree to which Papyros retains its integrity can be affected by the characteristics of the glass being used as well as firing schedules. Fused glass mosaic by artist Linda Smith of Warwick Glass from Delphi's Online Artists Gallery. Coral scene by artist Elisabeth McColm, from Delphi's 2016 Art Glass Festival. Fire and Ice project by artist Kathy Riedel, from Delphi's 2016 Art Glass Festival.

  • superior product
As a kiln glass hobbyist turned full time artist due to Covid 19, I traditionally used a thin fire paper from a major glass company. After using some Papyros samples I had received, I'm sold on this product. It's a tad thicker, and lays on the kiln shelf without having to wrestle it down flat. It's reusable if you're careful with it ( which saves on cost ), and either side can be used. Great product ... show more
