Description

ColourBlend is a range of blendable pencils for colouring, sketching and illustration. Each pencil is fully loaded with premium, artist's grade wax- based pigment. The result is a rich, velvety colour laydown with unrivalled blendability. The high-grade pigment provides a huge variation in tone and intensity for you artwork whether this is pencil art or mixed media artwork. Each pencil has a soft, thick 4mm core for seamless blending and shading. They are encased in premium, matte coated Californian cedar wood. Superior light fastness rated 'Very Good' (50-100 years). Ideal for artists, students and hobbyists. Spectrum Noir ColourBlend pencils come in a compact and portable tin.

The pencils really should be in much better packaging for shiping. Half of the pencils had broken tips. Hopefully I will not find the leads are broken further down. The pencils however are wonderful with beautiful selection of colors for this set.

*** See Updated review*** THESE ARE GREAT! A BIT PRICEY, OK very 25 bucks for 24 colored pencils is a lot. They are really nice though. No wax bloom, They lay down color great and blend AWESOME! They keep a sharp point, They are thicker than normal pencils which is even better as it helps with hand tiredness and also they are great for those of us that have arthritis. I plan on buying the other sets I just wish I could get the price a bit lower, so I will have to wait for a sale. ******** UPDATE******** I AM LESS IMPRESSED WITH THESE- tHEY SHARPEN HORRIBLY AND ARE CONSTANTLY BREAKING (tHE INNER CORES ARE TO THIN FOR THE AMOUNT OF WOOD THEY USE. EVERY TIME I SHARPEN THEM THE TIP JUST FALLS OUT OR i JUST KEEP GETTING A WOOD TIP BECAUSE THE CORE IS BREAKING ALL THE TIME. I have well over 800 Colored Pencils and I have NEVER had such a hard time as I am having with these. I know how to sharpen correctly and no matter the type of sharpner used it just keeps getting wasted. For the price of these they should be far better than what they are, the quality seems to be low. Which is a shame because they lay color down so nice. I know its the maker and not just this set as I bought the Primary set and I am having the same exact problem and I have returned those. I am not sure if I will be able to return as its been just about a month. I am hoping they read reviews and will reach out to me, I may just email the Companies Home Office if AMAZON is unable to make this right. I really wish I had used them much more before I left my first review as I would have been able to realize this before spending a crap load of money on another set. These did not get dropped or damaged in any way. The tin was sealed and box it came in was well packed. I really do think this is a manufacturing problem-- I REALLY HOPE THEY CAN HELP WITH THIS.     • Not up to Colourble
The quality of this set was below the standard of my two previous sets, Florals and Essentials. The tin was pretty scratched up. The pencils were not pre-sharpened and the paint on the barrels is not shiny and is a bit scratchy feeling, chalky. There are some gouges and holes also. All in all I will keep them because they seem to have almost the same core texture (a bit scratchy instead of creamy). They are not my main use pencils and the colors are good but just disappointed in the overall quality. Expecting another set today so will see how they compare. ... show more
