While Amazon states this radiator does not fit the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it does. This is *not* an easy to replace item, as it has to maneuvered in-between the frame arms and the AC condenser/Condenser lines/Transmission cooler lines (my GC has the trans cooler lines that enter the side of the AC condenser). You will need all the mounting hardware from the old radiator (nuts, screws, nutserts, etc.), and a replacement radiator cap is always a good idea. Packing was great - UPS mangled the exterior box but the interior packing was more than enough.

Spectra Premium is one of the better rated aftermarket radiators, so I paid a little more. Everything fit perfectly. Not rating "easy to install" because that depends upon your application. And I absolutely hate how Chrysler jammed that radiator in, requiring removal of just too many things for my liking. But again, that's not the fault of Spectra. If you are replacing a radiator on the Jeep, I found my transmission cooling lines were hopelessly frozen to the radiator. Neither heat nor PB Blaster nor a vise and pipe wrenches loosened them, but instead destroyed them. Do yourself a favor and buy new lines. Just installed in my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6.0 Had to remove the lower transmission cooler fitting on radiator in order to slide in and then reattach it. Thankfully the fitting was marked with green lines to show how tight you should make it. Installed lower hose and lines without having to go under vehicle. Very tight fit especially where the lower radiator outlet has to clear steering box. Also cut flush the passenger side lower attachment mounting tab on shroud and cut small 45 degree angles at bottom of each side corner of shroud which made shroud installation much easier. No leaks after adding anti-freeze but only time will tell on how long it lasts so five stars so far.

I have had this radiator in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a year and half with no problems. Like one other reviewer posted it does not have the drain tube connect for a hose so if you drain it out make sure you have a large enough pan under it. This was no big deal to me. For the fraction of the OEM radiator price I can live without the drain tube. It does come with extra connections that your vehicle may or may not need, I've come to see this is pretty standard with replacement radiators. Again, no big deal. I have had to pull this radiator out a 2nd time due to needing to reseal my water pump but I have put back in with no problems or leaks. Tip to all users make sure you get your radiator hoses TIGHT! And recheck them regularly. I've come to learn that especially in temperature drops (in winter) sometimes the clamps need to be re-tightened. If you haven't already replace your thermostat when you do this job as well. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you use the correct coolant/antifreeze and the correct mixture. I CANNOT stress this enough. I use Valvoline Zerez G-05 in mine, which I also purchase off Amazon.

Ships with caps to protect all threaded fittings. Drain does not have connection for a hose like OEM, just spills out on front plastics. Does not come with new threaded clips for fan shroud attachment, need to remove off old and install on new. Trans cooler connections fit nice and tight. Mounting holes were slightly wider than original; ended up working out once both bolts engaged. Overall install was straight forward. Besides minor drawbacks mentioned, a very good product for the price. EDIT: 4/25/2013 The radiator had a major leak and stranded roadside. The leak was from one of the coolant tubes that the cooling fins comes off of; this was definitely a defective item. After only 6-7 months of service, this is appalling. Called Amazon, got the run around from different reps and their "supervisors". Finally was able to have a replacement sent, amazon would not help cover any of the re install cost. Seems ridiculous that after I've paid to have it installed once, then because of a clearly defective item, I have to pay again to have it replaced. Will not be doing anymore business with Amazon on automotive parts.... and I am currently re-thinking their famed customer service. I'd much rather pay more and know that I will be taken care of if there should be a problem. MY STRONG SUGGESTION: DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PART. I'm just hoping the replacement lasts longer than 6 months.

I don't really have much to say on this product other than that it works as advertised. It fit my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee perfectly. As of this review, I have had it installed for a week and have noticed no leaks and my transmission is fine. Only cool engine temperatures. I will purchase more Spectra Premium products in the future. **Note: The OEM radiator has a drain hose attached to the drain valve that will direct the radiator fluid to the ground. This radiator has the drain valve of course, but not the hose. As a result the old radiator fluid will just spill out onto the bottom of the front bumper before it hits the ground if you ever need to drain.

The part had a metal tag on it that indicated it was correct, but. It was the wrong part. More parts had to be removed to give extra clearance to install this part , only to find out it leaked. So.....more coolant had to be purchased. We got a replacement for this part; which also had the same part # on it, at a local car parts store; but it was different and was easy to imstall. I wish I would've bought that one to begin with.
